2003 400ex...widened 4 inches,lengthened 2 inches, quickened Alot

the swap is relatively easy....the motor is smaller in physical size than a 400ex motor, and flp makes the kit to do the swap. the plastics were just maher racing plastics

this is an old swap so it might be hard to find the parts, i know some of them were from sketchy web sites that i thought i would get ripped off from but they were the only ones with the right hardware

the flp kit will fit a stock frame, my frame is just gusseted but is stock

Was the motor easy to put in or did you have to do a lot of cutting and welding

yea crf450 motor makes about 40-45hp i think. 400ex is low 20s

you must not know much about quads do you? look up the horsepower rating of a stock trx450r and look up stock crf450r. trx is mid to high 30s, the crf is rated at 55 stock.

Does the engine align with the rear sprocket for the chain? And is it off balance compared to a stock 400 motor? Thanks

Hey dude do u got a side pic of ur quad I'm trying to decide if I want +2 or +3 swing arm on my 400ex I want to stretch it out as fare as i can but I don't want it to look to fare out
