Cheap High-Speed Train From Istanbul To Ankara In Turkey - Business Fare on YHT

Turkey's High Speed Rail put to the test - it's so cheap at $20 one way (thanks depreciating Turkish Lira). It's a high speed rail with a maximum speed of 250km/hr, but there's still a lot of roadblocks here and there. Hope those roadblocks get cleared so that the route becomes faster over time.

would like to try "Güller eskpresi" in Turkey? journey starts in burdur , ends in izmir (Basmane) it costs 320 Turkish liras per people. it's a DMU train with 2+2 layout. and train has 4 cars (sometimes in very very shorter lines, you can see the same train with 2 cars) oh, i forgot to mention the journey is 8h. if u want more info, i can give the link as a reply.

If there's seats available not during busy times (i.e. Ramadan, new years), you can buy on the spot. I bought in advance.

Wow, where and when were you born?! You say you are from Sydney (we are in QLD) was this your first experience of a train? We are planning our Turkey European trip for 3 months (we will be 60) and so far, Turkey is way ahead of Australia. Tip: you NEVER buy food on or at train/bus/airports as it is always more expensive. You buy before (it's called a 'packed lunch'). Someone below asked you how long it took, and you said 'about 3-4hrs! What, you didn't know, and you even filmed the time on the screen! Regarding the scenery, that's what scenery looks like! What did you expect, a shopping mall or maybe wilder beast sweeping majestically across the plains just for you. I don't think the landscape was so too concerned with WHAT IT IS!

Turkeys High speed Train is Good and there is Many more High speed Trsin lines under construction through out Turkey eventually they will all link up to Each other Istanbuls Metro is Very good and there is Currently under construction 450km of Underground Subway/Metro being constructed through out the city 11 Seperate underground Metro lines You sound like u hot Aussie Accent not even Australia has got high speed trains Australia is Very behind
