Did you ever try and go heavier than this? That looked so easy, like getting up off a seat. Looked like you had an even higher PR in you.

Thanks for the comment! I have not attempted anything above this. May at some point, but just depends on the day lol

Just try crossing the arms. Or work on mobility.

What’s your program bro?

I don’t follow a particular program at the moment. Mostly just instinctual.

@@Swoleseph I’ve been stuck at a 315lbs front squat for the longest and I’m tryna get up there to 405 like you what would you recommend?
@Swoleseph
@Swoleseph 3 жыл бұрын
Alex Rubio just progressive overload really. Make sure you’re eating enough and just go for those bigger weights. Believe in yourself. Feel free to DM me on Instagram if you want a custom program though.

very impressive but do it without the belt or shoes

Why’s that

@@Swoleseph cause it's harder but better for you over all... you engage more muscles the less gear you use... I can squat and pull more wearing a bunch of shit but I don't count it... I'm not knocking you, you're clearly strong but just see how strong you are without any support... don't hurt urself doing it buts it's nice to know
@Swoleseph
@Swoleseph 3 жыл бұрын
@@banecastle8772 there’s plenty of benefits for both ways. If the gear makes the user more comfortable and can prevent injuries then, more power to them, but I get what you’re saying. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it doesn’t count though
@banecastle8772

@@Swoleseph of course there's benefits to both ways I'm just saying lifting without gear shows how much raw strength you have... I'd like to have a 500 lb back squat in nothing but bare feet, shorts, honey n coffee... it just takes longer and more work to do that doing it all natural which is why most people don't do it... I could put on the belt and all the gear with some steroids and squat that tomoro but I'd know that it wasn't really me... like I said, no knock on you but just start slow and see how much you can do without anything on all ur lifts.. perfect form and technique and you'll be fine... or don't it's all good just some advice from an older guy... most people my age have bad backs and knees while I'm still hitting new PRs
