Thanks Ben. No, I had no idea it was this easy and effective on old paint. Learned a little about wet sanding and new paint jobs but this is great. I am so grateful for our era of “patina” and not having to think about a total paint job every time I look at a truck to consider adopting.

You gotta keep it wet like that! Nice 1:1 Sand scorcher winch. That thing is bad ass, I'd definitely drive that to town. fit in anywhere, if you don't it's time to move. Nice work man!

Cool truck, man! Not necessarily a fan of LS swaps myself, tho I DEFINITELY see the benefits of modern, reliable, EASY TO SERVICE drivetrain. (IF they breakdown alot, they're not enjoyable) Question on the wet sand in the sun-burned areas though - do you just CAREFULLY wet sand the individual spots of remaining paint? Obviously doing the whole area will kill the weather-worn look; or is it easier to just CLEAN those areas & clear the entire panel? Have a '72 1110 with verys similar sun-burning on the front clip & upper besides. Only other point is metallic paints WILL change if wet sanded in an over zealous fashion, light, light touch is needed on those. Digging the seat reupolhster!! Thx

sweet! that patina is deadly cool.. im "busy" looking for a 353/453 for my 1973 1210.. i wish i was in the US because IH aint common up here and looking for spare parts is a killerr. found the same west coast mirrors that are on that creamy stepside outside your shop... 700$!! insane!
