From original sales training videos, learn what changes were made for the 2000 model year! This is a great resource for those seeking to learn more about their truck! Note: From VHS source. Audio has some undesirable artifacts.

I just bought a 2000 GMC 2500 Classic with the 454 V8 and it only has 87k original miles on it! It is like a time capsule. Definitely going to take care of this truck for years to come.

Interesting that they made this old body all the way until 2000, long after the next gen 99 truck came out. Love this body style and they did a great job of adding features and updating the appearance 12 long years after they first came out.

It's not so hard to part people from their money anymore. This type of persuasion isn't required.

Luv my 97 Silverado k2500 7.4. Which is the 454 big block
@rudyj71613 жыл бұрын
Is the 454 in that model a good engine? Contemplating buying a 2000 k3500 with that engine in it with less than 100k miles on it

Very good I have a 2000 K 3500 with a 454 I’ve got 230 on the odometer still run fantastic
@lawnchaser3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a good engine as long as you take care of it and keep up with all the maintenance

These trucks were nice back in the day. Now the few around in my area are rusted out hunk of junk.

6.4 diesel lol what a joak that was a peace of shit idk wat was worse that or the 6.0 ford it was a good truck if u got it with a 454 or the new body with the 6.0
@dieselwrench36212 жыл бұрын
The 6.4 couldn’t have been junk, Chevy never made a 6.4 diesel but my 6.5 has 362,000 on the clock now it’s no powerhouse like today’s diesels but it’s all I’ve ever needed
@jjlawnservice52292 жыл бұрын
@@dieselwrench3621 heard the 6.5 had oil pump issues but atlest it's not a 6.2 or 5.7 them were the worse
@dieselwrench36212 жыл бұрын
@@jjlawnservice5229 never had mine go out I also own a 6.2 got around 225,000 before I sold it, now the 5.7 you would be better off with a Briggs and Straton in your truck
@jjlawnservice52292 жыл бұрын
@@dieselwrench3621 I heard the 5.7 got better too late but there r too many bad ones out there because they made mostly bad motors I can't remember what the main issue of the 6.2 was even the dmaxx my dad has a 6.6 lly all together bullet proof if u can get it to hold an injector easiest fix is to put the lbz injectors in it the lbz and lly were the same motor biggest difference was the injectors the lbz had upgraded injectors in it
@dieselwrench36212 жыл бұрын
@@jjlawnservice5229 the 6.2 had some head gasket issues and not much power but great fuel economy now the 5.7 that Oldsmobile introduced had a plethora of issues some rumors say it was a converted gas engine but it wasn’t, it was built as a Diesel engine but things like only having 10 head bolts per side caused blown head gaskets a chain driven injection pump was another complete failure among other things but the best diesel I own besides my 6.5 Chevy in my 2001 ford 7.3 it’s pushing 500,000 and still running good now it is loosing some of its grunt but hands down the best engine I’ve in a truck I’ve owned 👍
