Ive used comet or ajax on my cars for years allways then buff n wax its awsome just put it straight on your brush n scrub it will leave a film so after i use comet then i use some dawn dish soap to clean the residue

I'm so glad I found this channel -- always been an IH truck and tractor guy, but never knew much about IH pickups. Just saved a running, driving C1200 from the crusher but she's a little rusty (Montana work truck) and my restoration knowledge really isn't up to the task. Videos and channels like yours are an absolute godsend, and I have a feeling I'll be referencing them a lot during this project. Thank you for what you do.

Me and my brother restored an old IH in shop class and got original paint from the dealer and the shop teacher shot clear coat on it after school and absolutely wrecked the paint the more it dried the more it peeled

Seen a Comet wash one time by a teenager on a freshly painted ‘70’s Ford truck. Owner, my cousin was not happy. I however will try this in my old van as it’s looking a bit crusty and algae y.

Or even when you peal off factory decals it leaves sticky that you cant see untill it gets dust ajax or comet cleans tgat crap off no need for goo gone n crap comet isabout $1.10 for a can and its great

Do you know Phil Coonrod or nickname Fly Rod? I've known him for years. He retired from IH in Fort Wayne. He told me he selling all his IH scout parts. Probably has the biggest collection of scouts and parts in the US. Been dealing in old scouts and parts for years. Lives in Colorado now. He use to work with a lot of my uncles at the Fort Wayne plant and is a big part of the IH show every year. I think half my relation worked there in skill trades and and on the line. Several of my uncles panted those scouts and use to say a lot of the metal would be stored outside and would have rust before they where even painted. I worked at Dana where the use to build the axles for IH trucks and scouts.

My dad custom ordered the 4x4 71 3/4ton Travelall, I think that it was a 1210 ? 345 v8 4 speed granny. It was really expensive, like 10k. But I've got a question did IH ever make a 1 ton Travelall, 1310 ?
