Gents, I'm a long time 40K fan (since the 90's) bought my first kit in 2001 and have been obsessed ever since (I know own (gulp) seventeen 2000+ point armies). I consume 40K content on KZbin everyday and somehow just found your channel about a week ago. I watch an American channel called Poorhammer and they listed your channel as a creator they recommend. I watched one video and I've been hooked every since. Liked, subscribed, all the things. Keep doing what you're doing, quality content gents. Much love from across the pond!

By the way, I've found your channel thanks to the Poorhammer guys recommendation. I am slowly chewing through the content and even though I don't do any hobby stuff and I only played some 4,5 games of W40K in my entire life, mostly at conventions and combat patrol with my 12-year-old using lego, I still enjoy watching your stuff. :)

Great to see speed painting to a high standard, and you both not wanting to kill yourselves! The 2-tone orc flesh looks so real, and the Berserkers look really 'punchy', both in terms of colour saturation and, you know... them actually punching things.

Great to see that you both came out of a challenge still feeling happy about painting more of the army. these have been really cool and a great inspiration for me(especially the ork painting, I have orks so that's been useful). Also the mandatory: KIERAN FINISHED A SQUAD LET'S GOOOOOO.

I'm shocked at how good that Angron looks for being painted in such a tight time frame. Very nicely done both of you! I'm glad you both don't despise the armies you painted after making it through this test of fortitude. I also really hope that when you're ready for another 24-hour challenge, you'll make it an Age of Sigmar one. I'm sure within the next 6-8 months, every army will have their own Vanguard box to put on a wheel.

also discovered you guys from poorhammer, really enjoying the channel so far! i love the purple effect on Angry-Ron's wings, I've been planning on getting a Be'lakor to start a Daemons army and i want to attempt this on his wings. I'm not hugely confident with my Airbrush yet so i might be dry-brushing it on

Glad to have you! If you wanna improve your gradients with your airbrush, pick up some plasticard, give it a prime and then go to nuts! That really helped me a lot!

Congratulations for what you pulled off. I guess I would have gone with the eightbound instead of Ron, just to finish most of the boxset, but on the other hand I didn't expect to see so much progress on Ron either. And boss effort from Kieran on (basically) finishing the whole orc box. They also look really good and not like so quick speed paint. Impressive :) Enjoy your rest and see you next year ;)

Amazing work guys! I LOVE the ork skin you did, overall your color scheme is just amazing and I would love to know how you went about doing the skin cause I always get annoyed my ork skin comes off too cartoony or bright. I started watching you guys when you ranked the primarchs and honestly I love your chemistry : D

Thanks for the kind words!! The ork flesh is Orruk flesh base coat, khorne red wash, re apply orruk flesh and then highlight with Ogryn camo

Would you mind sharing how the brass for Angron was done? I love it and need to collect ideas for when I get to my WE box (in 6 months...)

Sure! It was runelord brass, airbrushed black from underneath, AK pure grime wash, runelord brass dry brush and then stipple on some silver with a sponge!

@@the_kieran_showalso I think how you guys have done the 24hr challenge is better. You have had a more productive 24hrs as 2 12hrs instead of one big 24hr challenge. I have loved your videos. I have binged every video over the last week. You are in my top 3 channels easily. Keep it up.
