If we place 40k on a power scale, it would likely be high Mid-tier. Let me explain: There are Bottom/Mid/Top-tier power scalings for sci-fi settings. Bottom-tier is "feasable" things like RoboCop, Terminator, Edge of tomorrow, etc. They would typically be pre-FTL and confined to our solar system. Mid-Tier (the largest) is FTL/interstellar-capable factions and space battles we typically regognise from our favorite movies and video games. The most popular pranchises are in this tier, i.e. Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, Battlestar Galactica, Alien vs Predator, Mass Effect, Dune, etc. Top-tier are settings where writers do whatever the hell they want. Marvel and DC comics, the Xeelee collective, The Last Question, Three Body problem, Stellaris, Dragon Ball, basically any setting that can progress to reality-breaking levels of muguffins, gimics and rule-of-cool writing made soley for entertainment. Warhammer 40k is going to be at the top of the Mid-tier scaling. It's got elements of all three tiers in it, and it does sometimes bleed into the Top-tier scaling. It's not the most OP setting out there by a longshot, but it absolutly takes the cake when compared to it's direct peers.

They have more than a few hundred Titans. Also, those things generally aren't deployed at all without conventional heavy mechanized units, artillery cover, and infantry already having gotten stuck in and providing a forward line. Conventional heavy mechanized units, if expecting enemy heavy walkers, often include a smattering of super-heavy tanks, armed both as general breakthrough vehicles and specialized variants with anti-Titan weaponry considerably nastier than an AC/20. In the time it takes for the Imperium to start a Crusade and get the ball rolling the CIS could have twice or more the Crusade's number of troops, ships, vehicles, and already be moving around in Imperial space and doing attacks or invasions with near impunity because of how the Warp works. The Imperium cannot win a prolonged war against most Star Wars factions on a level playing field it'd look like America vs Japan in WW2 all over again with how utterly JACKED the industrial capacity of Star Wars (especially Legends) is by comparison. Then there's the blatantly OP BS shit from Legends like Centerpoint Station which can move planets and the Sun Crusher which is a starfighter sized WMD that is nigh indestructible and, as the name suggests, destroys stars (Thanks to the Maw Installation for this monster, yes the Sun Crusher is an Imperial design not something from long ago). There's the Galaxy Gun which can shoot you from across the Galaxy, the Sovereign and Eclipse class SSDs with the Sovereign having an underslung Super Laser slightly weaker than the Death Star's (Palpy wanted these mass produced), and the there's stuff like the Star Forge which just PRINTS STARSHIPS, DROIDS, WEAPONS, AND OTHER GEAR! Even if we stuck just to the CIS and their less insane Legends gear what can the Imperium do against a faction that can quite literally do the exact same thing the Imperium does but with even more stuff even down to the production of starships, even if the CIS needed a 4 to 1 advantage on taking down an Imperium of Man ship they can just make it 8 or like 20 to 1 since they can afford to. Hell, they can drown the Tau and the Imperium in Droids, take the Tau's stuff, take the Imperium's stuff after winning a couple of battles, and have countermeasures and advances in tech to make the Confederate war machine even stronger as the war goes on. Think of a B3 with a Multi-Melta and more, a B2 with a Multilasee, or a B1 with a Hellgun being as common on a battlefield as a Guardsman with a Lasgun, the CIS could very well do that.
@memosanchez8916 Жыл бұрын
The cis could drown the imperium of man if it was one on one thing and if it was the 40k imperium with its stagnation but the great crusade imperium is a completely different story even though it could drown the imperium in the 40k it would still take huge amounts of losses and true they can drown the tau out but pretty much any faction can the cis would get stomped by the necrons that have forerunner tier tech and outclass the cos tech wise it’s not even funny. As for the plasma argument that other 40 k fans bring up the “hot as a small star is hyperbole” their legit exists a schematics map of an imperial plasma gun on the 40k wiki the nozzle is made of an adementium ventellation alloy that has a melting radius of over 3600 Celsius and while it use to kill the user if overheated the imperium has refined it thanks to belesaruis cawl and is way safer to use in the current lore and more common among space marine primaris .

@@memosanchez8916 Sure the CIS might not be able to take on the Great Crusade era-Imperium but there's also the fact that the Imperium of that era is also actually organized and actively communicating with itself for the most part, it doesn't take ten months for something to end up on someone's desk. The current Imperium meanwhile has the same problem as someone who has had their hemispheres disconnected, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing and if there's a conflict of interest, a miscommunication, or just someone not telling someone else something important or vital then there's something bound to go wrong at best or a Dawn of War Soulstorm or Dark Crusade at worst. There's also the fact that the Emperor living means the Adeptus Mechanicus are walking a very, _very_ fine line between cooperation and keeping "their" stuff to themselves, current AdMech meanwhile can do pretty much whatever the hell they want and keep whatever they want for themselves since there's no Emperor around to make sure his deal is enforced and that the Imperium is getting the equipment it's promised. There's so much that can go wrong with the current Imperium that the CIS can essentially pick it apart as they please, every ship the Imperium of Man loses, every planet that changes hands, every Space Marine that falls in battle, and every AdMech world taken out of action either permanently or temporarily is another blow in a war of attrition the Imperium cannon actually win. Sure a Space Marine is worth far more than a single B1 or B2 but the problem is that, much like with the Skaven, there's never just _one_ and with an unrestrained CIS with no Palpatine to play both sides into being of the same industrial capacity and equal power there's nothing stopping the CIS from doing something as batshit insane as making the Protodeka a semi-common vehicle once they see Baneblades or Titans or developing more of their insane prototype units and models into actual mass production types. Imagine the Defoliatior from Clone Wars as a common SPG or even perfected to bomber dropped ordinance. There's also the B3 battle droid.

@kabob0077 You act as though, in 40k, a random Inquisitor wouldn't have a very real chance of seeing something funky in the Emperor's Tarot and prepare to start flinging all the Exterminatus-grade ordnance they could find at the CIS once they tried to start establishing themselves. Certainly been done before. The Imperium doesn't fight fair when it does figure out there's a fight to be had, and PDF and hastily-mobilized conscript numbers are actually large enough to contest droid numbers in the grand scheme of things, they're just not really capable of interstellar offensive operations. The Imperial Guard is the top 5-10% of the PDF. The CIS would also be highly vulnerable to Chaos corruption. AI and Chaotic scrapcode do not play nicely with each other.
@kabob0077 Жыл бұрын
@@crowe6961 And how much red tape would that random Inquisitor have to cut through to get all that out there? And what about the fact that the Warp is a fickle thing while Hyperspace is an exact science, sure the Inquisitor _could_ mobilize a lot of assets but how long would it be for all that stuff to actually get on the move? How long for the Crusade to be organized? What about the travel time from the place of organization to their first objectives? Hyperspace can take a few hours or days to get from point A to B depending on how far away you are, the Warp meanwhile could be insane travel times that you have no idea of when exactly you will arrive. The CIS can do coordinated fleet movements with twice the amount of ships in a quarter of the time and when they say it will take them 16 hours to get to a location it will take them 16 hours to get to a location. You are forgetting the most important and yet overlooked aspect of why I give the edge to the CIS, the one aspect almost every other Sci-fi or Sci-fy setting has over 40k that every 40k debater ignores, Logistics and Communication. You know what wins Wars? Logistics and Communication make or break wars and battles, if you can't actively get the gear to a front you will lose that front, if you can't tell your men what to do in a certain amount of time you will fail at what task you set out for. You know what ground the German and French war machines to a halt in Russia? Logistics, the Germans couldn't get supplies like parts for vehicles to the front (not helped by the nigh Lovecraftian Nightmare that is the parts and ammo for all the captured equipment and vehicles they used, seriously it's a nightmare) in great enough quantities while Napoleon could not get resources to his army in addition to unfamiliar terrain. And for communication, do you know what secured German victory over the French at the onset of WW2? Communication and Coordination between units, the French tanks for example where over all better than the German tanks of the time but the Germans all had radios in them and could coordinate and out maneuver the French tanks. The CIS can have every droid linked to a single ship or Super Tactical droid and have unmatched coordination and near perfectly execute plans, if the Imperium is fighting over a CIS planet then a single Hyperspace capable ship breaking off can be a call for reinforcements that will bring even more ships into the fight or catch the Imperium off guard while they're conducting Exterminatus. Add in the fact that CIS ships can and do operate on mostly or all droid crews even the ships themselves can be weapons, what would the Imperium do if several enemy ships just started ramming them while they're mid Exterminatus? Not much, and for every ship the Imperium loses that's more tech that can be scavenged and reverse engineered for later.

@@kabob0077 Inquisitors are professionals at cutting through red tape, it's kind of why they exist. Some do so extremely unsubtly and just pull rank while others work more quietly within the system. Thing is, AI in the Imperium sets off every alarm bell, everywhere, especially among the Mechanicus, Ecclesiarchy, and Inquisition... you know, some of the primary Imperial organizations with vast political power and private fleets and armies, in addition to the official ones. An AI revolt was substantially responsible for the mess that resulted in the Imperium needing to be created in the first place, so all of this would be taken with abnormal seriousness rather than taking 50 years to be noticed. Also, have you not noticed that Imperial Navy ships tend to be heavily armored, massive, and have ramming prows? If they've just launched some cyclonic torpedoes or whatever, they can simply turn towards the enemy and accelerate to deal with a CIS ramming maneuver, then rake whatever's left of any capital ships into scrap with their broadsides. Imperial Navy fleet doctrine is designed for finishing enemy fleets in close-range brawls like that, after attrition from fighters, anti-ship torpedoes, and long-range energy weapons take their toll on the approach. Also, the average Lunar-class cruiser and escorts would make mincemeat of anything but the most capable CIS vessels, and those are workhorses of the Imperial fleet seen almost everywhere.

On the Fortnite thing at the end... There will be _Nintendo_ characters in Fortnite before we have 40k characters in Fortnite, and Epic has *tried* to get Nintendo to play ball. REALLY HARD. One of their execs compared it to "making diamonds".
@mill27126 ай бұрын
The one thing keeping that from happening is Nintendo wanting it's characters to be exclusive to their consoles. As many know, Nintendo is quite protective of its franchises. Samus was almost in, but Nintendo wanted her to be Nintendo exclusive, but Epic wanted her available to everyone else. Especially when they do cross play. There are only three ways this is going to go down. Nintendo allows its characters to be non-exclusive, Epic respects Nintendo's wishes and keeps their characters exclusive, or no Nintendo characters in Fortnite. The 3rd option seems more likely to me.

So one quick addendum: The Xelee didnt leave because it was sick of Humanities shit. Oh no it was far far worse than that. So there a concept in the setting called a Monad. Thats God. Monads create entire realities by dreaming, lookibg for life. If a Universe spawns with no life, a Monad will wake up and go back to sleep to try again. That destroys that universe, it no longer exists. Monads observe their universes for life and for stories. They are basically the Flood in thought for that. But how they observe universes is that they stay inside of the epicenters of Supermassive Blackholes. Now when the ICOG was sending shit at the Xelee, they eventually got weapons that started to distablize the Supermassive Blackhole. ICOG was about to inadvertently wake up God, and end reality. Thats why the Xelee left. Also the last surviving entites in the universe are as follows: And Immortal dude and a Sentient Cloud (From a Race of Sentient Clouds thats super fucking hate Humanity) on a star just staring at eachother, The Dark Matter Birds. And Ironically Humanity on Earth itself. While Raft starts the saga, it turns out the Photino Birds did actually notice the Hypercube that the Xelee built over earth (That Hypercube was built after the Xelee defeated the Trancendece, to stop Humanity from every leaving their Homeworld again, because even for how shitty this Humanity is (The Xelee's whole Goal is to save most of their universe, by the time the Trancendece came around, Humanity had wiped out most of its nearly superclusters and colonised it all. And the Xelee beat all of that back to the Stone Age (Literally) within 24 hours) the Xelee didnt want to wipe Humanity fully out.) and managed to find a way to vaguely communicate with Humanity

I would have to disagree about the UNSC rolling over. Because they are about as stubborn as the Squats and have an amout of Forerunner weapons and technology available. In addition to the scientific knowledge to produce super soldiers on mass. Even if we take the UNSCs population before war at 58 billion and post war at 35 billion and say their military representatives 7% of the population and they augment just that percentage of their population that would be 2.450 billion or 2 billion 450 million Spartan-IV level super soldiers physically speaking anyways. The fact that they have Huragok aka those Engineers that were mentioned in his Covenant video helping them reverse engineer technology. Means they will definitely catch up and exceed the factions of 40k technologically rather quickly. So post war UNSC stands fairly decent chance of survival if they do something most Sci-Fi factions don't do.. use their God-Emperors damn brains for something. Which they usially do. Also he didn't go into details when presenting the UNSC in 40k. Probably because he's an elf fan and the UNSC are too close to Squats and Tau when it comes to dealing with other factions. If the UNSC could fortify the Tau empire enough to destroy the Democles Gulf Crusade fleet sent by the Imperium then logic would dictate that they could fortify the hell out of their own territory to that point in the same amount of time. They already have Super MACs and both the knowledge and technology to build Nova Bombs. Which were originally intended to be used in naval warfare against fleets. So in my opinion given their technological, access to what Forerunner and Ancient Human technology as well as their Huragok super computer engineer pets they have the ability to survive. Please everyone note I said Survive. Their not dominating the universe. They are just sitting in their heavily fortified corner and keeping everyone else a Super MACs range away from them which they have at least built them to the point of firing at a quarter of the speed of light. So if they do the smart thing we get to see large ships with ever increasing in power super MACs, with Nova Bombs as rounds, over 2 billion super soldiers (Spartan-IVs) and a lot of reverse engineered Forerunner and Ancient Human weapons and technologies mostly small arms initially anyways. With some craft and vehicles. Not enough to be the Forerunners but enough to make most factions stay away from them individually. So when you dig into the Current UNSC you start realizing they Survive in 40k. But wouldn't be doing much more than the Tau in terms of overall power.

So they may not even have any psychic abilities or connection at all really so could be about as affected by the Warp as the Tau are. Which is to say they are likely not going to be corrupted by demons straight away. Or since they are from alternate universes where the Warp doesn't exist they may not have any connection to the Warp making them more similar to Psychic Blanks aka an Untouchable, a psychic Null, and a Pariah in effect. Which would be a major problem for psykers and Chaos. So that is a how they are written in to the setting issue. Also the UNSC are honestly not even a snack on a demons shopping list. And IF for some reason you decide to go this route then their psychic presents in the war and religions means they might just spawn a new god. On earth today Christians 31.5% of the world population. Muslims make up 23.2% of the population. Unaffiliated make up 16% of the population. Hindus make up 15% of the population. Buddhists make up roughly 7% of the population. Jews are 0.2% of the population. In addition, more than 400 million people (6%) practice various folk or traditional religions, including African traditional religions, Chinese folk religions, Native American religions and Australian aboriginal religions. An estimated 58 million people - slightly less than 1% of the global population - belong to other religions, including the Baha’i faith, Jainism, Sikhism, Shintoism, Taoism, Tenrikyo, Wicca and Zoroastrianism, to mention just a few. So unless you would like for say the Hindu religions version which views the entire universe as God's and everything in the universe as God. Hindus believe that each person is intrinsically divine and the purpose of life is to seek and realise the divinity within all of us. Essentially turn themselves into gods. Or the Jewish/Christian/Muslim version of God to take form which all three being Abrahamic religions creating their God which All Abrahamic religions claim to be monotheistic, worshiping an exclusive God, although one who is known by different names. And the belief that God is also transcendent, meaning that he is outside of both space and time and therefore not subject to anything within his creation, but at the same time a personal God, involved, listening to prayer, and reacting to the actions of his creatures. So that kind of god appears and removes all of the other gods from existance then what happens with one god sitting on his golden thrown surrounded by his angels. Yeah the Warp becomes a lot different if you go that route. Also the belief that certain religious symbols protect the people to include holy books , crosses , and other such symbols which appear not only as personal trinkets but in their architecture as well . Ever looked at the beam structure of a building ? They are all crosses. Hence the term Cross Beams . And the Cross is a Christian symbol. Ergo the demons of Chao could never affect them because of their religions And it's symbols being all around them. If there were literal demons showing up a whole lot of people would be going to church ,mosques, synagogues and temples to become part of their religion and be forgiven of their sins by their god. Because that 16% of unaffiliated people were generally raised in a religion and abandoned it after becoming adults. So would rather quickly repent . Making your entire argument for Chaos corruption completely void.

I would like to see a Tyranid hivefleet try to make pass that with numbers. Good luck fighting a infinite wave of aircraft, seaships, submarines, giant mechs, gunships, missiles, and all sort of vehicles. A Supreme Commander tribe can make even a large sector fleet have a very bad unfortunate day if they try to exterminate them. Especially if said weapons are becoming more adaptivity advance overtime while the Imperium remain stagnant or worse regressive. Not even linear improvements to hold up which is the worse thing about Warhammer 40k nations. They almost never advance even when they have good opportunities to improve their military. Like that group of Guardmen which were said to have performed better then a Astartes Legion as a cohesive fighting force. They are not around anymore and their standards are forgotten. Institution incompetence. They are stiffnecked stubborn morons alot of the times even when they know it would be better without much risk. The Covenant would establish themselves as another anti-Imperial banner to flock to, and the Tau might start granting their human populations more rights to keep up, since the Covenant wouldn't tolerate them.

Time that they will never get against Toons or characters with powers that enable them to leave the story, change, and alter it to their whims. @@imaran1303The problem with the viltrumites is they absolutely do stomp the 40k verse. For starters every single one of those remaining viltrumites is strong enough to end planets by themselves. Every single viltrumite in the Empire even if they're just 50 of them is a living exterminatus. Considering Omni man can stop a meteor the size of Texas and throw it back into outer space what's stopping him from chucking it at a nearby imperial planet that doesn't surrender. They could destroy any imperial world by just throwing a big rock at it the same way Abaddon destroyed cadia throwing a black stone fortress at it. So they could just show up to a planet and be like surrender and if they declined they could just fly to space grab a meteor and destroy it instantly. And considering singular viltrumites can fly faster than imperial ships using warp drives they could destroy entire imperial Battle fleets by flying right through them at light speed using their bodies as projectiles and destroying them effortlessly. And the main reason that guarantees that the viltrumite Empire could conquer 40K is that in the invincible comics the viltrumites discovered that humans are the perfect species to reproduce with because their kids end up producing nearly 100% pure viltrumites. So if the viltrumites capture an isolated imperial Hive world and turn it into a breeding camp in 20 years they would have an army of hundreds of millions to billions of viltrumites and at that point the Galaxy is screwed. The imperium will be in trouble with just 50 of them now imagine there's hundreds of millions if not billions of them.

If you guys thought the Xeelee and Transcendent were the most powerful known sci fi faction known well there at least a couple more called the Downstreamers from Manifold and a large religious civilization called the Church of the 2nd Hytoth from the SCP Mythos. The Downstreamers are a far more overpowered fictional version of humanity then the Transcendent ever got the chance to be. They have created different types of universes with different design models and relative laws if physics before and even alternate a entire multiversal cosmology to operate in any kind of fuction they intend. Kind of like The Star Maker a 1987 Novel entity by Olaf something whatever his last name was. And the Church of the 2nd Hytoth are a universal religion that expands across the entire material universe and has been able to maintain itself for a very long time who worship a pantheon of seven Low Elder gods with the names of Rakmou at the start. Only one remains however as unfortunately the others ones have fallen. Each one even in weaken states are able to annihilate entire galaxies instantly without much effort and fight a ravenous horde of entities from a hellish non-existence realm which is called the Voru, known as the Voruteut. The Voruteut are more dangerous then even the Photino Birds due to how fast they are at corrupting or eating a entire universe. These Seven low elder gods fought against them and now only Rakmou Leusan remains and faces them alone. I don't think the Voruteut are as powerful as the Scarlet King is but they definitely are a pretty dangerous cosmic horde. One I doubt even the Gravemind could come up with a effective proactively adaptive strategy to defeat in time. You can imagine the Voruteut would be a nightmare for the Xeelee. The old Doctor Who cosmology may also have something that might be comparable to the Downstreamer's Manifold. In the Doctor Who Expanded Universe there is this tremendously powerful devise called the Glory which capabilities and capacity stretches across all multiverses of the omniverse beyond the Doctor's own multiverse.

Deadsspace is cosmic/body horror with a heavy industrial backdrop. I think you'd groove on it given all the nightmares of SCP and 40k. On their best day, I could see a united sphere with integrated Clan support making things into a very costly victory for the Imperium with combined arms, asymmetrical engagement, scorched earth tactics, and in some cases, a zeal to hold the line that approaches Astra Militarum levels with far fewer rules tying their hands for tactics. If we get speculative about the sphere reverse engineering salvage from Imperial tech, then maybe they might reach Tau Empire level of being far more difficult to wipe out than the gains of their defeat could justify. But this requires a lot of things to go just right, and assumes the Imperium wants to take and hold usable planets, as opposed to just annihilating all opposition to the God Emperor's rule being the ultimate objective with a few thousand cinder worlds being considered acceptable collateral damage. Fun Fact: It was the Lyrans who made the first dedicated mech melee weapon. The Hatchet. The Combine actually lagged several years behind because of stuck up mechwarriors insisting that honorable samurai would never use brutish hatchets, with the most stubborn refusing to use anything less than a glorious honorable sword as a replacement for guns, energy weapons, and missile launchers. Hatchet debuted in 3022. Sword in 3058. Green Arrow has had some pretty potent high ex arrows, and in the silly silver age.... an atomic warhead arrow. I worry wishing for more Eldar lore and Eldar focused stories could be a monkey's paw deal knowing GW. Welcome to the levelS above lowly cosmic plebians. Not the first time I've seen the idea of compressing and combining timelines, but this one feels much more clinical than say... Shao Khan conquering them into a multiversal singularity so he may never be wanting for worlds to dominate and territory to add. These aren't the only sapient Dark Matter entities I've heard of, but the Pa'Nuri are pipsqueaks compared to the Photino birds. The Lightless Wind, as one Galactic Cycle knew them, fought hard for the fate of just two galaxies. Sure, they forced people tot resort to time travel to save the Milky Way, but that was just a few months back, and they needed to trick those in control of the Milky Way's Galactic core to do a lot of the setup.

Wait until you hear about one of the few settings that would give WH40k a run for its money: Bolo-verse. To give you how hardcore the setting is, the description of their battlefields is *_quite literally_* 'within a nuclear fireball' ... and no, that's not a hyper lobe; nukes are chucked at each other like party flavors. When _infantry_ require things like kiloton-flinging mortars and _multi-megaton suicide packs_ to dislodge (oh, and this is before all the _fun_ toys that the Final War cooked up)... you're not in for a good time. Humanity in this setting had developed _sentient tanks_ whose sole purpose in life is to defend humanity. They will shout out at the top of their lungs, "FOR THE HONOR OF THE REGIMENT!" while riding out of the nuclear fireball. There has been an instance where the _humans_ betrayed their country, and the tank _kept copying files_ so the weapon designed to kill them could be delayed enough so I could take on three of its manned equivalents (good god, Nike... you're going to Valhalla via the express route...). There have been instances where Bolos were left as _communication satellites_ and a bunch of pirates got a case of SURPRISE HELLBORE to the face. At one point, the Concordiat (the human polity) allowed obsolete bolos to _retire_ with a good portion of their weapons. Why an _agricultural tractor_ would need five nukes and ion-bolt repeaters is beyond me... but it largely worked out for them. The Mk XXXIII Bolo, the last official design from Bolo Prime on Luna, going up against an Imperator Titan is _literally a coinflip_ between them, with the scales slightly in the Bolo's favor.

Oh, and they can send several volleys that way too. Let me tell you of the Chaos Bringer, or rather a couple of his instances within the multiverse He and His echoes haunt. The first I was aware of would be akin to Khorne, but made manifest in the physical plane. Hatred, violence, and war nourish Him. But He doesn't wish to see mere violence reign, He sought to inflict outright annihilation. Especially on His Brother's works. Even as the two sides who had waged civil war for millions for years united, it was not enough. Even with detonations powerful enough to crack continents hollowing out the Chaos Bringer's skull and blasting out into hard vacuum, it was not enough. For in seconds, His head reformed. For Anger, Violence, and Terrible Destruction had been there. Even with His children, forged to escalate The War, Combining to fight their dark Father, it was barely enough to lay Him low. But as the leaders of The War began their final battle, that was enough to make the Chaos Bringer's heat resume beating. He was only forced back into something close to death by the darker of the leaders realizing it must end, and consigning himself to oblivion for peace. The Second I encountered were the hating and scheming remains of the first one's corpse. Playing at revival even as others claimed the remains as strategic terrain drifting through the dark reaches of space. The Third is again the corpse of a Chaos Bringer, who in defeat became a black hole. A black hole that could feel. That could HATE. Bent on destroying the world of those who thwarted Him. And this one was only finally undone by ancient Arks combining into a greater Ark, but one of the Covenant type, personally held and aimed by the Brother of the Chaos Bringer. The final instance I want to note is a lesser being, but still a destroyer of countless worlds and civilizations. Entire planets were consumed by this, a weapon forged for revenge upon the arrogant and conquering disciples of a god. A hating engine of annihilation. And for as powerful as Unicron is, Primus and His Children routinely prevail and endure.

I'd like to point out that dead space and Star Wars do have some extra edge against 40k. blasters are similar to lasguns from what I know and hyperdrive can out perform warp drives with no risk of demons. there's also the fact droids are used everywhere so not only would Star Wars have access to warbots but theyd be able to reinforce other industries like medicine and engineering. dead space has shock drives, kinesis, and stasis. fun fact in one of the spin off games its shown that kinesis can be used on living people when it's used to save someone from a fatal flaw and its purely tech based so it could be mass produced. sure, a space marine would brush it off but the average guardsmen is going to be paste on the wall. knowing 40k as soon as the tau or imperium gets their hands on that theyll upscale it to the point titans are throwing each other or space marines juggleing cultists. and stasis would be even more broken as its also purely tech and can be used even on large machines so you could use it to slow tyranids and space marines.

Imperial Knights are only 29.5 to 39.3 feet tall. So their not really that much taller. Also House Steiners mechs are 39.3 feet tall just so people know. What would piss them off would be the Imperial's actual titans which range from 45ft Warhound titans to 166ft with that freaking church on top of it , Emperor class titans. Which are extremely rare. I actually believe Star Wars could beat most 40K factions. The Tyranids, Tau, Eldar, Orks, and Drukhari are out of the picture as Star Wars has ways to prevent the Orks and 'nids from replenishing their numbers via similar planetary purging technologies to 40K, as well as the fact that a Sith scientist could probably manufacture a Force-enhanced or magically enhanced virus that would cause the cells of either organism to die off and/or wither on the vine. The Tau, Eldar, and Drukhari are simply not possessed of enough technological, numerical, or tactical supremacy to take Star Wars as a setting. Let me remind everyone that Star Wars FTL is about as fast as it gets without being literal teleportation with ships fast enough to go from one end of a galaxy to another in days at the slowest and hours at the fastest. Nothing in 40K travels that fast. No ship, vessel, or being moves at that speed. Plus, the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire is listed as having roughly ten-thousand ships in total and had control of most of the galaxy. Jedi and Sith on average are not on the level of most Psykers, but beings like Luke Skywalker, Darth Sidious, Vader, Yoda, etc. would beat the brakes off of almost anything in the setting. Hell, I'm confident Luke could probably fuck with the Chaos Gods if he wanted to. Point is, Star Wars has multiple ways to take care of 40K. The problem for 40K is that they are constantly regressing and losing knowledge. Star Wars gets better and better as time goes on in all categories. To those who simp for Ancient or Old Republic Sith and think the orders got weaker over the millennia . . . you are wrong. Star Wars is aggressively advancing in all ways that matter. 40K is at best stagnated and at worst deteriorating. That's the difference. For anyone who thinks the upper tiers of Jedi and Sith are not ripping Primarchs or Big E's assholes, there is a passage in "the Revenge of the Sith" novelization by Matthew Stover where Sidious and Mace Windu move so fast that Anakin can't see either of them move. He only catches the occasional glint of their sabers. This is, mind you, a version of Sidious that is weaker than his "Return of the Jedi" or "Dark Empire" self. If the latter fought any of the Primarchs or the Emperor, they would be cut down in a picosecond.

Um, while I do hold Star Wars FTL as a powerful and reliable iteration when comparing franchises, even the Falcon is usually supposed to take longer than just a couple days to cross the Galaxy. Tbh I love 40k but it’s a mid tier sci fi setting anything below it gets stomped ( Star Wars,dead space, gears of war, mass effect, current halo, and battle tech ) but anything above it stomps it ( xelee sequence , scp foundation , prehistoric halo with ancient humans and forunners and universe at war)
@mikaelantonkurki Жыл бұрын
When it comes to SCP, 40k would handle it quite well, things would only go to shit for them once the Scarlet King comes to the picture.
@joshuarichard189211 ай бұрын
I agree ancient humans and forerunners would steam roll modern 40K but using prehistoric Halo on it is kinda cheating when 40K has OP ancient lore too called *"The War In Heaven"*
I mean, we already have an actual SCP for 40k and the foundations containment for it was NOT attracting the universes attention...
@matthewblackwood965311 ай бұрын
@@syrienangel4137 Well yeah, because they would end everything. 40k would destroy SCP humanity pretty trivially, then fail containment because they have no idea how to handle it, and then something equivalent to the Scarlet King will get out and not even a living Emperor would be able to stop it from erasing reality.

13:00 I disagree specifically on Spider-Man; he is specifically shown to be holding back, at ALL times. When pissed off and with purpose behind him, he's picked up Kingpin by the skin of his chest at 650 lbs and thrown him bodily across a room. He might not do well against the numbers of a Tyranid swarm, but on a one-to-one physical fight, he could at least hold, if only for a bit, against an unnamed Space Marine. As has been said before, by better minds than me, "When the funny man stops laughing, be VERY afraid!"

Doesn't the galactic republic and subsequently the galactic empire control something like 4 million planets? that's 4 times the estimated size of the imperium of man
@Azorees-oj5zr Жыл бұрын
70 million with populations large enough for representation in the senate with a few million more less populated worlds. There is 1 billion inhabited worlds in the Star Wars galaxy.

One of the easiest ways to get 40K fans to start frothing at the mouth is mentioning how X faction from X setting could survive 40K. Not dominate, not even thrive, but survive. I swear sometimes the 40K fanboys (not the civilized fans, the neckbeard FANBOYS) really make me rethink interacting with other folks in the hobby sometimes. Example that always comes to mind is someone trying to explain to me how a Spartan Laser from Halo is nowhere near as powerful as the basic lasgun from 40K. A Spartan Laser, a weapon that canonically can 1 shot a scorpion or wraith. At worst 2 shot. And is apparently not even strong enough to compare to your basic lasgun which, fully charged, can kill space marines in a few shots.

Dude trying to explain that or point out any of the similarities between the UNSC and the Imperium gets them started. I do find it kind of funny like with Pancrasnowork's Halo Hammer series how he explains how the Covenant could fit into 40k and survive , how the Forerunners and their constructs would dominate modern 40k and how the Flood would literally eat everything in 40k. But still doesn't think the UNSC could survive in 40k without becoming a fleet based species. When the UNSC survives at constant war with factions of the Covenant , the Flood outbreaks , the Forerunner constructs that number in the quadrillions and the Created which has recently fragmented thanks to Master Chief and the AI called the Weapon. But surviving being attacked by every single faction he mentions could survive in 40k. But yet they themselves wouldn't be able to actually defend their territory. Yeah sure that makes sense right ? No it really doesn't if anything the above proves that the UNSC could survive in 40k as they have been surviving in Halo despite every other faction trying to kill them and/or conquer them in the case of the Created faction. Yeah the UNSC just had their own rise of the machines episode and won in like 2 years. How long did it take the Imperium to crush the men of Iron rebellion into tiny pieces that could be mopped up ? and how many lives did that cost ? Yeah the UNSC has a men of iron issue and it cost them less than it did the Imperium to crush it.

Battletech has far more advanced weapons and armor vompared to the imperium of man. Hell they even have bettwr lasguns. That actually do something to armored targets. They dont have the numbers. But they have the quality. In comparison. Plasma weapons in battletech are nuts. And they have armor that stops said plasma. Or the partical projector cannon. A weaponized partical accelerator.

in my writing i like to view powerscaling by categorizing characters with weapons they are roughly equivalent to. in my setting powersuits turn humans into human missiles. that said my setting is not that important to the topic. if i were to use a similar power scaling. a space marine is also a similar kind of a human missile type situation. they are a similar sort of they enter a battle and wreck surprisingly fast, precise and powerful havoc. but a viltrumite is a human nuke, and a saiiyan is a human exterminatus or if we going realistic planetary RKV.

40k vs Stargate: The Ancients foresaw this and already invented the perfect countermeasure, but never deployed it for "reasons." However, as the Chaos gods are effectively ascended beings, the Ancients will send a strongly worded memo to stay out of mortal affairs.

I watched the original up until the very end. Very valid points. I do agree with most of it, however i have to add a few things and mentions here and there: Before reaching the Xeelee there is the Culture, who will curbstomp the warhammer40k. Definitely not as strong as the Xeelee however they are a type 3 civilization that has full control over their galaxy, this is from the start well enough to crush the warhammer40k races. On the same level as the Culture, either upper or little lower we have Half-Life's Combine who are known to be at least type 2 but unlike Culture they are able to invade and conquer multiple universes, still lower by far than Xeelee. Yet stronger than Xeelee it seems it might be only one known group of entities from the same author called The Downstreamers. Those entities are supposed to be humanity that goes so far that it restarts and relives everything in every possible way, they are so high they have become concepts. There is nothing to date in all of sci fi and it most likely won't ever be something more powerful than The Downstreamers. A little lower now, if talking about Half-Life we have The G-man and his Employers who seem to be able to crush The Combine if they really want it but with great unnecessary effort. I'll say this clear: The G-man can defeat the God Emperor of Mankind even when he was healthy. But G-man is not a direct fighter he works through subtle small edits in reality. About the Dragon Ball. Well in Super no doubt, Warhammer 40k is nothing but a nuisance that can be dealt with a simple Hakai. But way back, in say, Frieza saga, the Warhammer 40k could be a good player on the galactic scale. Frieza force was big, but it was in no way a gigantic galactic empire. He had a modest army of soliders but it's backbone were not the armcannon losers that get eaten by a namekian giant crab, but the likes of Cui, Zarbon, Dodoria. Highly powered mutants of their own species. As such the Frieza force while strong and big enough to be a very dangerous enemy in Warhammer 40k it wouldn't be at least logistically able to hold that galaxy. The Imperium might just send troops up until they tire up and want to have a nap, after which an exterminatus would... not kill them obviosuly... duuuh. But leave them with a pointless rock, and this way up until they would starve to death or reach a point where they cannot exist as a wide space organization.That is if Frieza doesn't go to earth from the start and deletes it, in which case those demons will enter our realm and so on. It's also to be wondered if Frieza would let himself be impressed, scared, or controlled by chaos. To me Namek Saga Frieza Force has the chances to both lose or win the war, but not an all in war against a united warhammer 40k galaxy. That is just nuts. In reality if they were somehow introduced in the 40k galaxy, they would just be that highly dangerous xenos group, a big player but not a very wide one. Motivated by the scenery of big empires in that galaxy, Frieza would either continue as a real estate dealer among the empires or seek to establish his own. Most likely the second because no one would want to trade with him. And now. In order to trigger some WH40k fankids, i will list an universe, a setting that would... well logistically lose to WH40k but still hold it's own pretty well. That is: ... StarCraft. I already hear the virgin fatso voice starting the "ackshually ..." speech involving blizz and gw that was already been debunked. Now the discussion: I am aware SC can't beat WH40k in an all in, WH40k is just logistically superior. But WH40k has also shown that smaller forces can still resist in a galaxy wide conflict that is free for all. The size of the SC's Koprulu sector is comparable to what Tau have. Technologically wise, the protoss are basically on necron level, as their main ranged weapon, the phase disruptor is basically what nekron weaponry does to matter. They also use anti matter missiles and were shown to be able to harness the power of a miniature star. Book protoss also go to... near DBZ levels, those are some passages i will chose to ignore because they don't make much sense. But in the end the SC species with the most potential to do damage and maybe even win against the WH40k is... ZERG! Well yes. Unlike the mindless tyranids who only know about om nom nom, the zerg is acutally fixed not on solving it's hunger but on evolving and reaching perfection. The Zerg is also capable of infesting certain species or individuals who prove themselves worthy in order to advance the Swarm. I would imagine their endgame being the infestation of the God Emperor of Mankind, which, if it happens it will be the total DOOM for the WH40k setting on such a level tyranids would never dare to dream. Unlike the tyranids these bugs know how to FTL, and are capable of holding and using planets instead of just eating and running. The first few stronger psykers would be harder, but after a while the zerg would grow to be a real threat which, in spite of it's lower numbers than the Tyranids swarm it would prove to be way more versatile about taking worlds instead of just eating and running.

sold part of the empire back to them as food. 40k does that as standard practice. What do you think corspe starch rations are made of? By far one of the nastiest ones is servitors. Since all AI is illegal, servitors replace basically every computer system in existence, from opening doors to literally being the butter cutting robot from rick and morty.
