Because we never hear from them again, we can assume they were shipped to another system. You want to know what the two most saddest and ironic things are about the dark angels? If they opened up about the fallen and asked the other chapters for help capturing the fallen they would have greater success, the other sad and ironic thing is that the space wolves their rivals waged a war with the inquisition during the months of shame and are still one of the most loyal and respected chapters in the imperium. Maybe that’s why they are so at odds because the perpetually inebriated space vikings have a better reputation than the so called space knights (which is something that I always find hilarious that the cultures and people whom others regard as primitive, barbaric and easily insulted are more noble and heroic than the cultured ones, it’s like elves and dwarves: the elves are sophisticated, intelligent and cultured, but you wouldn’t trust them to open a tin/can of beans, the dwarves are crude, foul-mouthed, always drunk and will kick your teeth in at the slightest insult, yet the only reason you would have to doubt their loyalty to those who earn their trust is if you have never met them before, to sum up dwarves “if I stab a man in the back I will stab him in the back to his face” edit: iv'e learned that the reason they are so at odds is because their fathers had a bit of brotherly fun punching which has extended to their sons

Thank GOD! (ok maybe the devil!). Today has been terrible. A friend of mine almost died to day from a epileptic fit and had to be helicoptered from where he was found in a field after NOT arriving home last night. In this situation first not knowing if he was dead most of the day but now knowing he is ok this is now the only time I can now relax and enjoy something in this day of lethal stress and worry. So thank you Arch for a moment of peace and peace with another soothing story telling epic at its best !

@@isanayashiro2376 sure ok but ironic when you consider A. This was a war over an armory where the imperials new full well the armory was being exhausted in the said war and B. The death korps outfits it’s millions of soldiers with gas masks for engagements where even that’s not needed.

@@17joren I know but that's just how it is. In 40K Logic and critical thinking are rare. The death korps wear gas masks because the surface air of their home world is unbreathable, with all the radiation and stuff. And that stuck with the soldiers of Krieg and its kind of their tradition now, not so much as a necessity. So you can find them wearing gas masks even in perfectly safe atmospheres. Also the standard Krieg soldier (the infantry) is just used as cannon fodder, to overwhelm enemies and create a break in their lines. They have special units of Grenadiers who are better equipped and expected to fight in tunnels/bunkers etc. Secondly, the imperial official expected that they would win faster than the traitors can use all of the stored weapons and equipment. They were also worried that if they wasted time the traitors would ally with any of the myriad of hostile powers which plague the imperium. So vraks had to be taken. Its kind of stupid but hey when the commander of the whole operation is a lump of fat then you cannot expect much more.
