I love that in one book a inquisitor was unnerved by the kriegs guardsman unreadable nature and that every guardsman answered ever question the same. The best part was when the inquisitor demanded an audience with the comander he asked the reason, he denied it and when threatened to see him immediately the krieg comander simple said are you accusing me of something? No? Then I will see you at 0700 TOMMOROW.

Was actually about to say this. The Lord Inquisitor really should have kept Kagori (and, hell, as many of Kagori’s command staff as wanted to stay) as the chief military advisors and planners. Lord Hector Rex might be the sector’s foremost expert on demonkin, but he’s no field commander. Fundamentally, the emergence of the demonic threat on Vraks doesn’t change the tactics much (yet). Instead, it changes the strategic goals of the war. Previously, the goal was to recapture the Cardinal and the weapons depots; now, the goal is to stop the ritual. Hector Rex may know what needs to be done to stop the ritual, but there’s no guarantee that he knows how to use an army. Ideally, I think should have told Kagori, “Okay, I know what we need to do; you tell me how we can do it.”

Past a certain point, the knowledge is *necessary* to understand what you fight. People take the Months of Shame and extrapolate it as the SOP of the inquisition, rather than the actions of one particular Lord Inquistor so high on his own farts that even the Grey Knights thought he was going too far and were relieved when Logan Grimnar relieved him of his head. They mind wipe the lower ranking ones, purge them as necessary, but they don't normally wholesale slaughter anyone who ever hears the word "Chaos". Otherwise we have to assume the entire Cadia subsector and all its battlefleets were summarily purged and reformulated all thirteen times Failbaddon the Armless threw one of his temper tantrums.

Well to be fair it would still be better than the current situation, so my guess was they planned on betraying nurgle ‘bout as soon as the imperials were fucked enough not to be their priority. I mean, yeah, the idea of Khornates making a fucking list of priorities is hilarious based on stereotypes, but I recommend you check “the outer circle”’s video on Khorne and how, before geedubs flanderized him, khornates weren’t actually supposed to be all fucking nutters (in fact they even had HONOR, and their philosophy was closest to that of pre-nurgle Death Guards, and yes, 40k originally made a point of this, neither of the 4 legions which fell to specific gods were good representations of said gods, in the case of the berserks they were nutters because of their implants, but the other khornates were less crazy.)

Ofc there well be infighting but as long as they give each other room and an enemy in front of them. Both sides well keep the infighting to an minimal. Also remember Khorne is the god of war. What I got from this video: 1. The entire 88th Siege Army is going to be executed for being anywhere remotely near the Grey Knights or the Ordo Mallus. 2. Guilliman's Codex ensured that the Astartes are not capable of protecting the Imperium from a serious threat (like a daemon world appearing in a sector) due to how much it divided the Space Marines.

40k is fun. The political infighting is always interesting and one of the Imperium's greatest enemies. On the other hand, the infighting and power checks prevent things like the Horus Heresy. It's rather relatable to our current world where one person with too much power is the end of a society or a bully on the rest of the world stage. It takes seemingly absolute desperation for anything to be accomplished in 40k on a large scale.

You expect me to buy that guardsmen, then tell me why are there so many cuts in her guardsmen? The first guardsmen: Sir, she kept twitching, sir! o yes the twitching was bad sir one of the others joins in. Tragic it was, sir like i said, we had to do something cant have some twitching witch spoil our aim, sir. 10 min earlier, the inquisitor witch is mumbling in the middle of the bunker in a deep trans frost covers the floor. The 4 guardsmen send to watch her almost all felt sick in her presents, a hollow feeling a gut twisting dread. The lady her self was not much better they got a cold stare form blood shot eyes and were told not to look at her. But this is Vraks and these guardsmen had seen some weird chaos mutants, and witch things and when one looked around. The witch was surrounded by some soort off aura and frost was creeping from her glowing red eyes stared trough closed lit. One nodge to his mates and a shovel were leaving there belts and they set to work ridding humanity form another witch breed mutant freak.

If there's anything I learned from watching this series, is that there's no such thing as "a quick solution" on Vraks. Guess the Inquisitor will learn that the hard way. If I were him, I'd keep Kagori very close at hand. It's always good to have someone with years of experience on the bloody planet around.

Agreed. It would have made sense for Hector to keep Kigori on his command staff, as an advisor or better yet, his overall second in command. Granted, it's highly unlikely but it would have made sense considering the circumstances. While Kigori won't be in the way of Hector, he will go out of his way to ensure that, if the offensive fails, at the very least it won't have an overall bearing on the war at large. By that I mean, he would be in position to organize the reserves and make preparations for enemy counter measures.

You should know that you singlehandedly got me into not just Warhammer, but strategy games altogether. You make the world so interesting that I wanted to experience more. Your pre- Total War: Warhammer videos convinced me to buy it; my first strategy game. Through that, I found a love for battlefield strategy in general. That combined with your 40k lore combined to convince me to try tabletop. I now have a Mechanicus tabletop army and most of the Total War games. I even worked at my local gaming shop and spent countless hours teaching other people how to play various tabletop games and offering suggestions. But I will give some counter points. 1: maybe the reason the siege equipment was in front of the infantry was because it was out of ammo. They expended all the ammo then used the catapults to funnel the dead. 2: Winterfell is a kinda a small castle they can't fit all their forces in the castle and expect them to fight effectively. 3: The cavalry aren't just any cavalry. They are Dothraki a proud arrogant warrior culture. Karl Drogo sustained an unnecessary mortal wound because he wanted to prove how much of a bad ass. Good luck convincing them *not* to go in first. 3: they didn't send in The Dragons straight away because they were worried about The Night Kings superhuman javelin skills. 4: where else could they put the non-combatants other than the crypts, the crypts have Geothermal vents in there so it's way easier to heat, they needed every fighter on ground level and everyone else out of the way. I could go on but I think I've rambled enough.

High risk and planning the food up assaults makes sense, yes it lacks panetside reserve but the problem on Vraks has often been not having following attacks on a scale that is almost as great a threat as the first breaking the enemies cohesion. Multiple few million strong assaults can be hard to launch in quick succession though..
