Draigo sounds a lot like Doom guy, I mean, staying permanently in Hell (the Warp), probably having fun killing daemons, and getting out whenever a portal to reality opens to kill the Daemon commander and get back to the Warp again. Yes, sounds EXACTLY like Doom guy

Tactica Imperialis well, sword and shield are a lot more badass, and his psyckic powers are probably far more devastating than any BFG (specially in the warp, where he has all the energy and power he wants), I honestly think Draigo is a 40k version of Doomguy (although I should check which one was written before), just like Sly Marvo is Rambo, and so many others. In the end, much of 40k is but a compilation of expanded popular characters and stories, which have been enriched, adapted and sometimes mixed to make up an stupidly big and deep universe

The Chapter Masters don't even know about the existence of the Grey Knights from my understanding. It was a huge deal that The Space Wolves know about them by fighting alongside them on armaggeddon, and the Sons f Russ almost went to war with them and the Inquisition for exterminating the human populace after the First(?) War for Armageddon. You can't mindwipe an entire Legion(cause that's what the Space Wolves still are, and you can't exterminatus a Founding Legion, so the Wolves know about the Knights but I don't think many even Chapter Masters do.

Some would mistake the Black Dragons for Chaos Marines. I read "Coming of the Black Dragons" and one of them was over 9 feet tall and had antlers and bone spikes because of their osteo mutation....red skin too. The Grey Knights probably get calls about these dudes all if the time.

In Pandorax they fought beside Azrael and the Dark Angels as well as IG. I recall that Azrael held no affection for the Grey Knights and had dealt with them before. Neither the Dark Angels nor the IG were wiped. I don't know why. It was clear that Azrael did NOT play ball with the Knights.

Actually Garviel Loken is eligible, he was one of the original recruits for the Grey knights, he was intended to be the grandmaster of the grey knights called Crius, but he turn the offer down so he could face his treacherous brothers in the siege of terra.

There’s only one. An experimental chapter known as the exorcists, whose origins are marked as “Unknown” but known by us as the sole successors of the grey knights. They have several cults of different combat styles to be tactically flexible. They have two other scout companies to a total of three. Why, you may ask? *They exorcise themselves of lesser daemons. to have their souls psychic and standard warp signature hidden from daemons.* A false pariah effect. They hide on planet banish in the middle of a forbidden sector, and a member of their chapter who is somewhere in between the size of an ogryn (the closest natural alternative to space marines) and a Primarch. (You should know this one.) who wields a daemon slaying, fuck huge master crafted power maul, that most space marines cannot carry. They often handle lesser daemons, chaos marines and, unlike grey knights, other enemies such as Xenos or traitor forces. That’s about it.

Oh it was still a great video! I didn't even know about the lore, as to who were the original eight marines, besides Janus. Though, I didn't know who he was before his change, let alone having one! So for everyone to know neophytes in the grey knights do not fight in combat. They are listed under the 8th Brotherhood because the 8th's Grand Master is technically in charge of their training. Like the 1st is in charge of all the chapters vehicles, and the 3rd is in charge of all librarians. This is stated very clearly in the codex.

I think it's Janis and 8 other Knight errant members. The sum of the digits of their chapter number is 18 or 1+8. It may seem like nothing, but 40k likes to play with numerology a lot. Weren't there large numbers of loyal Thousand Sons who were allowed into the Grey Knights

Honesty it's rather pointless for the grey knights to wipe out imperial guard units even they do fight choas. I mean the lifespan of a guardsmen is very very short and he'll the people of cadia fight choas 24/7. Like really it no longer matters since cadia fell to chaos and the imperium of man is really going to need every fighting man they can get their hands on. And also when the space wolves home world got fucked up by Magnus the red again the wolves should have straight up killed both the grey knights and their toddies

Perhaps the Reason the Draigo can more easily return from the warp is because he was banshment into the warp by the daemon prince M'Kar the Reborn. M'kar is dead. Upon his death, the banishment of Draigo to the warp must have weakened. M'kar was born Maloq Kartho, Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers. He ascended to daemonhood during the Battle of Calth back in the Horus Heresy. In 999 M41, M'kar returned to Ultramar as part of an invasion lead by the Iron Warriors Warsmith Honsou. In this campaign, M'kar was not merely banished back to the warp, but became one of the few daemons to receive a true death through the use of his true name Maloq Kartho.

I’m not sorry for saying this, but I regret that I have to say it in the first place: The Grey Knights will eventually turn against the imperium. My reasoning is this: any human that is forced to commit terrible acts over and over again will eventually become desensitized to the atrocities they are committing, and from there, the chances of them actually starting to enjoy it only increase. Case in point: the Nightlords. Granted, the Nightlords were at the opposite end of the “purity” scale (God, I hate that word even more than “heresy”, at least that one’s fun to yell at someone.) from the GK, even at the very beginning, but they were still astartes. The only difference between their fate and that of the Grey Knights is how much longer the GK’s “purity” allows them to remain numb and not start taking pleasure in purging entire Star systems of innocent lives. Eventually, they WILL slip, and from there, it’s all downhill. Even in their current state, the Grey Knights are a disgrace and a liability to the Imperium. They can go on and on about how “loyal” and “pure” and “honorable” they are, but it’s all a load of rubbish. When your kill-count of Imperial soldiers and civilians VASTLY outnumbers your kill-count of demons, you know nothing of loyalty. When you WITHOUT EXCEPTION murder your allies after every battle “because SECRET”, you know nothing of honor. As for being “pure”, sure, in the sense that they’re pure insanity. Seriously. The Ultrasmurfs can get tiresome very quickly, but I’ll take them over the Grey Knights any day. At least the boys in blue aren’t a bunch of religious nut job team killers.

Well the thing is with the grey knights they do understand, when they do have to kill imperials it is always portrayed as a tragedy, because it is, and they would rather find a better solution but can't because chaos is a dick. Also as a rebuttal, the Grey Knights don't kill their allies every single time. most of the time they mind-wipe them, for example at the end of Pandorax when the battle is over instead of killing all the IG survivors like the Catachans the Grey Knights just mind-wipe them and then leave. As well as being a disgrace to the imperium and lacking honor, I would have to disagree with you, given the morals and ethics of the Imperium, I think maybe they should have gone renegade and protected someone else like the tau and left the cesspool that is the Imperium, and with this in mind remember that they haven't even once thought of leaving because they believe in humanity and the imperium and are willing to fight and die for it. Also keep in mind that this is Grim Dark (which i despise), where nobody is allowed to be squicky clean for some reason, even though Grey Knights are supposed to be space paladins. So to end it, grey knights aren't terrible and it be weird/against character to turn traitor.

Garran Crowe vs Lucius the Eternal, who is the better swordsman?

From what I remember of 7th edition Crowe had a weapon skill of 8 while Lucius had weapon skill of 7, though Lucius had an ability to match his opponent's weapon skill if it was higher when attacking. And again this is just mechanics. In the fluff I don't know, Lucius was known to be one of the best if not the best swordsman in his legion but he has lost and been killed multiple times, and Crowe Crowe has also solo'd dæmons like skull taker and lived. Being a Grey Knights fan I'd want to give it to Crowe but in truth I don't know.

^ pretty much, yes. In his heyday Lucius could literally beat anyone in a sword fight without even taking a scratch (until he met Garviel Loken at least). At this point however, Lucius' gimmick isn't being unbeatable it's being immortal through cheating. Crowe isn't a shoe in winner though - he only managed to hold up Skulltaker by consecrating the ground to weaken him as I said in the video (not to diminish the achievement, but it must be noted). I would still just about back Crowe if it came to a straight fight WITHOUT armour - remember the power sword of Lucius can pierce power armour far better than the Blade of Ant'wyr which has always been AP- in game. So in conclusion, short answer Crowe but not by a lot in my opinion.

hey Michael, since you're here i need to ask you something that been on my mind dealing with Crowe and Lucius. Since we know that when lucius dies he possess the body of his killer and reincarnates within them. My question is if Crowe and Lucius dueled and Crowe killed Lucius, would Crowe "transform/become" Lucius? this has been bugging me because we know that lucius reincarnates from those who kill him (if said killer gets any satisfaction from beating lucius), but Crowe is said to be all but immune to the influence/touch of the warp (excluding the Blade of Ant'wyr), so would crowe be fine or is he also out of luck? your thoughts?

marcus aurelius I believe his soul would remain pure but it would then be encased in Lucius’ armour while Lucius takes over Crowes body. Not sure how long he would remain pure for though. My question is how to break Lucius’ curse? Would a humanitarian primarch like Volkan do it? He would hate killing an astartes I think as they think of their own legions and their sons. I imagine it would be something like killing a child to him. Also, he would overpower him so much that there would be no martial satisfaction in beating a challenging opponent. I think if GW wanted to kill off and create new characters/heroes, chaos would be the ones to do it with.

I've never understood the killing of everyone they work with, look at the current 40k situation.. chaos is fighting everywhere, the Ultramar system beseiged.. you can't kill everyone who knows of chaos. It seems outdated fluff.

Understandably would have been a good thing before the great rift. Now with Guilliman as supreme leader of the Imperium he no doubt will make changes to the zealotry. Although the book of lorgar is too rooted in the way the Imperium acts. Guilliman has already thrown out the Custodes from the palace to do some good for once so maybe he will put a leash on the GreyKnights to stop the incessant teamkilling

SH4D0W because in their training they must go through that number of rights and trials in order to withstand the taint/corruption of Chaos. If an aspirant fails even one, they die in the trial because of the severity of the trials process in order to become what is essentially a being polar opposite to the Chaos daemons and their gods.

The months of shame is such rubbish. First of as if the inquisition would actively escalate the cold war thus revealing themselves and the grey knights more than ever before. But by far the biggest load of nonsense is the fact the grey knights BROTHER GRAND MASTER was killed by a space wolves chapters masters BODY GUARD simply by chopping his head off WITH HIS AXE. Yeah right and grey knights brother master vs a space wolf body guard and his axe hahahaha.
