Imperium said no backup, so Huron stopped giving resources and using them to make sure he, the Warders, and all the Imperial citizens in the Autonomous Zone would stay alive. Warders did nothing wrong.

The very idea that a mere single Astartes chapter was ‘better served elsewhere’, when the benefit on the table was complete pacification of a region as rich in resources as the Badab sector and adjoining regions is ridiculous. What the Imperium did in the lead-up to the Badab War was tantamount to mostly subduing a fire but leaving a large patch still smoking. And then when the firefighters asked for a little more water to finish putting the fire out, they’re told that due to the water shortage, the water they needed would ‘serve better elsewhere’. The one and only reason for the High Lords’ refusal was political. They cut off their nose to spite their face.

I have to say, I came into this series expecting to hear about the Astral Claws with a few scattered notes about the contributions of the other chapters, but so far the Mantis Warriors have been putting in WORK, to the point where it almost seems like Huron more or less just went to them and said "Right... go do your thing." while the Astral Claws and Lamentors concerned themselves more with void warfare strategic maneuvering.

I think the idea of the Marines Errant using essentially the same colours as theyre founding chapter, just reversed, makes sense - imagine it, youre a killing machine with a stick up your arse and a knack for administration in your chapter's history, youre not going to be a patron of the arts, lol. I think they would see it as practical.

Pledged I think the 7th of January when I went looking for your Badab series to review a few parts, only to find you'd been hacked and stuffed in the not-so-Forever Box. I don't watch all your content but I particularly enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) your Warhammer, Dreadnaught and Chains of War videos. Ah, glad your channel is back and situated. Also glad to have an hour long video! Goodness, the Administratum really wants to keep this plot going, don't they? Conflict is finally dying down, a well-earned victory and - nope, here comes the Imperium to butt in! I know I asked early on what could go wrong, largely as a joke considering the sheer length this series is going to sport, but I guess the answer to that is just "the Administratum", isn't it? Surely other things as well, but my goodness, I think they might have the machinations of Chaos beat for sheer problem-creation from the looks of things.

Man I miss the days in For Honor when I could play Orochi in the same way the mantis warriors fight: constant counter attacks, dodges and baiting my enemy into an absolute mad rage and then calmly continuing to side step them and attack them at every turn. And then enjoying the salty tears as I get called “trash” by salty Centurions and Shugokis. Ahhh....good times. And mentioning how the mantis warriors dealt with the marines errant reminded me of this.

Its so satisfying to no merely, block an enemy attack or to counterattack/parry as it is to bait the enemy into screwing himself over more and more with every attempt, with every move, all the while being able to hit back regularly yourself so they’re screwed either way.

@OMGitsAzreal Very true. Both Guilliman and Dorn had worlds in a intergalactic Empire, by the time the Emperor arrived, although... I'm not sure if Dorn found the Phalanx or built it. Also, with the Lion and Caliban, that isn't really... true. To quote: "Though not technologically advanced, Calibanites were able to produce rudimentary bolters, chainswords and even power armour."

@OMGitsAzreal The Phalanx was not acquired, it was gifted. Papa Dorn shakes his head at you with supreme disappointment, and declares in monotone: "You are wrong."

@OMGitsAzreal No. Dorn was already on the Bridge of the Phalanx when the Emperor discovered him. Dorn offered the Phalanx to the Emperor, but the Emperor instead told him to use it for the VIIth Legion. The story is firm that Dorn already commanded the Phalanx before meeting his father. The Phalanx has two origin stories. One was that Dorn built it, and it represents his capacity for building Fortresses. The second, and the more likely, is the story that Dorn discovered it in orbit of his homeworld of Inwit which he then had refurbished.

34:22 when you take a merchant ship and upgrade it to (limited) military operation, it is called an Auxiliary Cruiser. Attention to “auxiliary”, it will never meet a true cruiser efficacy in anything but ramming, as they were not built for combat, just converted for it. Still, it may ward off small ships, and they were of essence for the UK survival during WW2, and even the Americans converted some themselves
