Tacticus_ I’d rate the book a 3.4/4 depending on the chapter in question. Some are more fast paced, others a lot slower. But overall it’s a good book. The Audio book is what I have and it’s a good 5hrs, so it won’t take too much time of you want to listen to something on the go for work/school. Compared to the HH.... I’ll leave that up to you.

He has the power to kill them, I doubt any being subservient to chaos can match the sheer holy might that is the Emperor. Though I wonder why Big E is anathema to them. Why is his very being damaging to chaos? Is he really a god?

Also in my fanfic, my "dark emperor" is going to be a horrific genetic experiment with genes from human, Astartes, Tyranid and even Custodes and/or Primarchs, resulting in an insanely high-power entity who fancies himself to be essentially the dark messiah of Chaos

Epimetheus literally out smarted and outwitted a lord of change. Thats pretty goddamn impressive, not only outwitting it but tricking it into giving Epimetheus enough info for the grey knight to figure out the daemons true name. Thats so much more gnarly and bad ass than just like... cutting it head off. Thats the type of grey knight stuff we all want more of.

Considering how much the Horus Heresy destroyed records and historical articles that could share some light into these events. The Gray Knights have the greatest burden of keeping several Chaos relics that could cause ruin to the Imperium. Within the Gray Knights relics are hundreds of Chaos relics their eternal guarding of such dark relics. The truth is that Abbadon may not want the Gene-seed of the Gray Knights, he may want the Chaos relics locations. Abbadon didn’t just get any Gray Knight, but one of the Founding members of such an order. Though there also the fact that perhaps he was able to escape Abbadon grasp, we must remember that the Grandmaster of the Gray Knights is a warp traveler who knows where Chaos is and strikes. So perhaps he may seek the knowledge of the Gray Knights.

I think abaddon in secretly a loyalist and wants the grey knights geneseed to mass produced loyalist marines within the warp. Because time flows differently in the warp, so if it took the emperor 20k+ years to make few million Astartes, just think how many Astartes you can manufacture where time isn't real.

It would make sense that Abbadon would use the Gray Knights gene seed to create some kind of chaos Gray Knights because it resists or is immune to corruption. Abbadon himself refuses to bend a knee to chaos as Horus did so it would make sense that he would want a superior force that could resist the innate corruption

If I was Abaddon I’d use it on myself. And after the implanted Progenoid Gland matures within him, use that to perhaps barter with likeminded and similarly resilient individuals. I’d probably never give such a powerful boon to the likes of Fabius Bile. Too much madness in that one. I might however attempt to raise a couple Marines with partial sets of another legions gene-seed and the Grey Knights. Heck, if I could catch me some of those Alpha Legion and add it to some raised from their stock. That sounds perfect to then bargain with Bile for the use of. What fun that’ll be for him to try and deal with. 7 of a full 14 given to him, of course not telling him of the other 7 brothers out and about. The joy at watching how they manipulate him would be exceptional.

My prediction? Even though Grey Knights use The Emperor's gene seed, they'll find him striped of all the implants that are deemed useful. They'll escape with him and have him cross the Rubicon as some sort of Primaris/Grey Knight hybrid (mixing his Emperor genetics with the Primaris). Also during the escape, Luther will appear with a detachment of The Fallen. Resulting in a duel between him and either Ezekiel or Azrael, ending in the loyalist's death, the eventual escape of the remaining space marine forces and the awakening of The Lion under The Rock.

Hey. If the emperor can provide gene seed that is useable in a space marine transformation... then woulsnt he have to have undergone the transformation into an astartes? Or can proginoid glands from any human work? I would assume no. The reason I ask is because. Evertime the emperor is seen by a character in a book. He appears to be a human, in power armor. Not a astartes in power armor. I realise he is a psyker and could perhaps adjust his form as he liked. Still, seems like an odd tid bit of info that is being over looked or maybe im over thinking it?

Epimethius is probably sitting in his cage figuring out how to get the null off his back and warp lightning everyone to warp shreds. With all the advanced bodily functions maybe he's able to slowly kill off the grafted cells. Chaos is annoying though. Oh look I made a kawaii desu chan that's sweet and wholesome. Chaos: I made her lewds. The possibility and teasing of corruption is great but if they succumb then comes the eye roll. It gets annoying too the constant erosion of things like can the imperium get a win. Glad Guilliman came back finally maybe they can actually purify one of the demon prince primarchs to be an ally too. I'd like the shards of Magnus to come together and force the demon prince fragment to be subdued as some anti chaos sorcery power.
