Welcome to the channel!
Today sharing with you maybe one of the most sophisticated breast drills ever made...called by many as the "Continuous Motion" drill. This drill dates back around the '40s.
From a time when tools had essence and soul ;D...
Until next video!

This is the kind of tool that requires 'elbow grease' to operate.

Have you any chuck spring measurements as mine are missing? Cheers JMc

JMc sorry for my late reply. Unfortunately I'm not able to dismantle the chuck to see the springs. I may need to fabricate a special wrench to try to disassemble it.

Hola!

By any chance, do you know how is the center mechanism assembled ? I have a frozen center mechanism on my 97 and try all kinds of methods ... vinegar, WD40, penetrating oil ....with no luck

Hi! thank you for your comment! The same happened to me... the problem is that the grease from factory from those days is basically decomposed. I have solved it using a 1500 Watts Hot Air Gun at around 350°C setting...to melt/loosen that stiff gum inside and simultaneously using WD40 to make it penetrate. Please, be careful how much heat you put...increase the temperature step by step as you find it conveniently to get it loose. To be successful, it requires you to follow this process several times...once it's loosening... then proceed with gas/fuel to finish dissolving the remaining gum, put it inside a glass vessel. I do not recommend to dismantle the center mechanism as it's a complex one and there is no chance of buying a new one around the block. Please! let me know how it goes for you...if you need some further advise, do not hesitate to contact me again, or maybe I can record a short video for you. We need to make your No.97 a running one again!. Best regards from Argentina!
