41 shells found as police search for at least 3 suspects in latest Aurora Ave shooting

Seattle police are investigating a dangerous shootout on Aurora Avenue from Monday morning that involved at least three suspects, while neighbors are calling for an answer to the seemingly constant gunfire.
It happened just after 1 a.m. in the 11700 block of Aurora Avenue, which is just north of a Home Depot store. Witnesses told police they saw one person on one side of Aurora shooting at two other people near a car on the opposite side of the street. Investigators recovered 41 shell casings.
No one was hurt, but a car in the area was heavily damaged after being struck by that gunfire. Police are calling it a drive-by shooting, and neighbors said they need some relief.

Oh, and one other thing - maybe a year ago, one of the members on the Seattle city council (I forget which one) proposed building an overpass park in downtown, near the convention center over I-5. If we (the city) have such a surplus of cash, how about using that money to hire more police officers!!!

Is the issue that the Seattle police have their hands tied and can't do anything about this? (like the absence of a no loitering law?). Let's have a special election and put on the ballot measures that will help allow the police take on all the violence we're seeing! (that we see all around the city, not just on Aurora ave). Oh, and since this is an area that's now known to be a problem area (it didn't use to be!), staff several full time police to cruse the area until the pimps and the violence is gone! Often times these news reporters say, "what about the girls? they are at risk". Yea, I feel sorry for them, but what about the families and the kids LIVING in this area? You know, the 99% of the people there (and the ones who pay taxes, which you are supposed to be serving!) I'm fed up with this crap! I'm a democrat but I'm willing to vote republican if it means getting this area cleaned up (and the other problem areas in Seattle for that matter)
