Another great video!! Looked like your wife really enjoyed the food better than the other videos. And the food looked awesome. David have you ever thought about taking your family to New Orleans? There is so much to do for the family and the food is some of the best in the world (seafood especially). But there is history, culture and the river to enjoy. If you ever think about going reach out and give me a way to contact you offline and I can offer some suggestions. I first visited New Orleans 40 years ago.

@algernon57762 жыл бұрын
@@DavidSriracha OK David here are a few suggestions for you and the family 👪 for a New Orleans trip: 1. There are so many famous places to eat in the City of course you have Emril's restaurants but they are hard to get reservations and quite pricey but no worries there are others as good or better. For legendary Po'boys I recommend Mother's restaurant on Poydras get there early for breakfast and the wait is minimal, weekends are a nightmare but the food is legendary. Brennan's restaurant in the French Quarters is wonderful food especially brunch but extremely expensive. I recommend that you visit just for dessert Bananna Fosters made tableside (they invented it) and it is oh so good 👍. Next up is Acme Oyster House in the French Quarters. Yes it is a tourist destination but there is a reason it is so well loved. The oysters are huge and can be eaten raw or grilled with butter, cheese, garlic and wine very delicious 😋 (and see your wife loves the oysters lol). The Gumbo Shop has been around for 75+ years and l love their seafood gumbo served fresh baked bread, also recommend the B.B.Q. Shrimp 🍤 huge and if they still have it the Turtle Shop with a dash on dry sherry oh so good. The Court of Two Sisters has a wonderful brunch that I believe your wife would really like and the restaurant is legendary too. On Lakeshore Drive (great views) is the Blue Crab 🦀 great food kid friendly and live music on weekends as well as reasonably priced. I also recommend for coffee Cafe Du Monde for the chicory coffee (very strong) and the beignets (like donuts), the other place for coffee & beignets is Morning Call (I went to the one out by the Cemeteries more on that later). For 24/7 food I highly recommend Daisy Dukes, big menu solid taste and great service, there are 6 locations. Lastly to legendary African owned restaurants where Presidents visit, Willie Mae Scotch House and Dooky Chase, Soul Food unlike you have ever eaten get there early. New Orleans has more restaurants per capita than any major city in America and are just a few suggestions. Lodging: I like being around the French Quarters because it is near everything (I walk or cable car) so my suggestion is to find a hotel around the Quarters, it is more expensive but location is key to me. Here are some of my suggestions: Hotel Monteleone it is on Royale Street (right by Acme Oyster House) and is the oldest hotel in the French Quarters. Old world charm and has the world famous Carousel Bar it actually rotates around. I also like the Sheraton on Canal Street with its rooftop pool and finally the Marriott very nice property. Music: Go to Frenchman Street lots and lots of music 🎶 but you will musicians everywhere, great happy music and you may see a funeral band procession. Things to do and see: 1. The Steamboat, The Natchez guided tour up and down the Mississippi River and you can get lunch but I do not recommend, Horse Carriage rides extremely fun for the kids negotiate the prices, Jackson Square place/area where musicians and artist gather ( I had my daughter drawn in pastel chalk - fantastic she was 10yo), visit St. LOUIS Cathedral truly sacred place with beautiful architecture, lots of shops to visit, FREE Walking tours ( gave donation) usually 2 hours tremendous history about the 300 year old city, Cooking classes at least pre-covid lots of fun even for kids, tour the river walk area on the Mississippi, Ride Cable cars for I think a $3 day pass (good on busses too) I believe it might be the oldest Cable car system in America, the French Market for souvenirs and interesting stuff, ride Cable cars down St. Charles Ave. (Can get on/off anytime) to view the multi-million dollar mansions this is where Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt lived as well as the famous author Ann Rice to name a few. At the end of the St. Charles line is the Above ground Cemetery(s) I know kind creepy but extremely historic and interesting New Orleans is below sea level. Also in the area is the WW2 museum America's largest museum extremely well done and I like the interactive Tom Hanks movie. Could be good for the family. There is also Audubon Park 350 acre park with wildlife etc....There also is Harrah's Casino 🎰 adult only fun and if you are out on date night there is Pat O'Brien's piano bar and they famous for the Hurricane drink (dangerous share 1 drink). The bar features 2 pianos and can play any song a patron wants to hear good clean fun. There also is a paid Ghost Walking tour ($17) and it was excellent but not for kids. You can also go on a Swamp tour but very expensive I say save your money but the kids may like If you have any questions please reach out. Take care.

Hey man that waiter didn't look friendly at all!!! Lol. But man we gotta try this one out. We go to Hugo's alot, so the food spread looks similar but I liked this place wasn't so packed. We went to Seaworld this weekend and enjoyed the all day dining. It was definitely worth it. If you guys are going this year. Try Mi Tierra right by the market. It's nice and festive.

What's up bro 👋 thank you so much for watching 😄 he was cool 😆 we went early that's why...I want to do a video on Hugo's as well so if you don't mind me asking what was your favorite dish at Hugo's Sunday brunch ? Thanks for the recommendation bro 👍 they got us buying the season pass but we only went once for this video 😬
@princetrophies2 жыл бұрын
@@DavidSriracha Although the food spread is almost identical at all these chains, Hugo's had good brisket back in February ..also their menudo or pozole was good and the mini Birria tacos were good too. Their menu changes, this one and only time, they randomly threw out fried chicken and it was the best fried chicken I've ever had, I went back and it was GONE!! and they never did it again 😭😭. Another time they did lamb for a good while and it even tasted like steak. They have similar deserts but my mom went crazy over their mexican candy which was like a sour sticky taffy (not my thing), my wife liked their peanut brittle, I liked everything except the sour candy. Omg bro side note, we went to TJ Filipino Cuisine after watching your review you did a while back. I knew I was going to like it, but my wife is picky but she loved the food. She left looking sad. I asked what was wrong, she said "I ate too much" 😂😂😂 We're fans of your reviews! Haha!!
