The little girl that Rigg talks to is Alison Luther, the niece of director Darren Lynn Bousman. Producer Mark Burg has stated this "Saw" film to be his favorite on the commentary track. This is the first "Saw" film in which the protagonist is not locked or trapped at all, and is able to stop playing the game at any time. This film marks the second time in the "Saw" series that someone other than Jigsaw (in this case Hoffman) says "Game Over" in the film's climax. The first time was in "Saw II" (2005) when Amanda delivers the line Body Count: 10. (Including Cecil Adams, whose death is shown in a flashback. Plus John and Jill's child that was miscarried in a flashback. From "Saw IV" to "Saw 3D", Mark Hoffman is always involved in the last trap of each film. The knives that were used in the trap that Jigsaw forces on Cecil Adams were actually made of wood The seamless transitions between separate scenes in the film were not created using (digital) visual effects, but were done practically. For these transitions, the sets were build in such a way that two separate scenes could be filmed in one shot without interruption. The autopsy scene was passed completely uncut by the MPAA. A coroner was onset at all times for the autopsy scene. The autopsy scene was deliberately made gruesome to distance the film from similar scenes that take place on TV every week on shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000). This is the first installment of the franchise that does not open with a character in a trap. This is the first film in the "Saw" series not to be written by "Saw" co-creator, Leigh Whannell.

This was the first time I was kind of in on the twist. I heard the detective tell Hoffman about the Dr. missing. I thought I recognized the animal he was holding and was really suspect when he told Perez he had a daughter. Then when he got “ kidnapped” I knew he wasn’t because they never showed it. I recognized the Manila envelope for Amanda too. I was so happy with myself at the end when Strahm found the pictures. But other than the ending reveal montage, I abhorrently, and vehemently loathe Saw 7. So I'm not trying to troll or shitpost. I am genuinely curious, what aspects of the ''film'' do you deem underrated?
@urma31374 жыл бұрын
@@coolguyhino92 You don't think Hoffman massacring a police station and getting his revenge on Jill with the iconic music in the background is badass? In other words Saw 3D is good because Hoffman is unleashed. You could argue he makes most of the films.

@@urma3137 Genuinely, the only parts of Saw 7 are from when Jill gets Reverse Bear Trapped, till the end credits. Legit, only the death of Jill Tuck, and Dr. Gordon's reveal twist/flashback at the end are the only parts of it that felt like it needed to be part of the series. If you REALLLLYY would like to know why I don't like it, in non-hyperbolic, legitimate detail, ill take the time to write it out for you. But I loath this movie.(Yes, I'm a Saw Stan. I-VI. @nightshadehelis9821 Жыл бұрын
I disagree. I noticed that he tells his victims that they have 60 seconds or whatever to live or die, but in reality they were given substantially more time. Watch Amanda's reverse bear trap scene again. She was told that she only had 60 seconds to complete the game, yet she immediately wasted 45 seconds freaking out and staring at her ex-cellmate. You're telling me she had 15 seconds left to find a key buried in his small intestines AND open the lock she couldn't see behind her head with slippery hands while also under pressure? Time was an illusion for her.
