Could someone explain why "App component rendered" was being printed out twice each time the component was rendered?

Ask and you shall receive. The reason "App component rendered" is logged twice is because in his case he is running the app in dev mode, not production model. He typed "npm run dev" to start the app. In dev mode ALL CONSOLE LOGS ARE PRINTED TWICE React runs a little differently in DEV mode. It keeps checking itself if there is a run away re-render process. Hope this helps.
