@@TerryLestrange this another one of those ill-informed opinions devoid of truth. It assumes that the colonisers created benefits for the colonized while overlooking the atrocities suffered by the latter in the hands of the former. Ghaddafi invested 85 billion $ in the "man made river" to provide fresh water for irrigation and greening of the dessert, and also to provide water to neighboring countries in Africa. The people of Libya had the highest degree of welfare of any African country. When Ghaddafi said he wanted to trade oil in Euros instead of Dollar, the west engineered a coup. He also had plans for a African currency. He was too "dangerous" - he had to be removed.

The West (We, the UK for instance), held hands and backslapped Gaddafi when it suited. Then we called him Mad Dog the next second and had him overthrown. Sickening double standards. The Americans, supported by the West, simply HAD to neutralise Gaddafi...Gaddafi wanted to avoid American influence in his oil transactions by using Africa’s own gold. He launched the gold dinar project, and other major African governments were ready to support him in this project. It was both an African dream and a nightmare for the West’s financial system. Imagine that, completely free of American influence. Oil trades that would no longer take place via the Dollar! The objective of this new currency was to divert oil revenues towards state-controlled funds rather than American banks. In other words, to stop using the dollar for oil transactions. Countries such as Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Angola were ready to change their currencies. Unfortunately in March 2011, the NATO-led coalition CONVENIENTLY began a military intervention in Libya in the name of freedom. We know how that ended-up.

my man let me list u some fact - he bombed a plane from London to New York killing 300 ppl+ -he bombed a night club in Berlin killing a bunch of people - he bombed a plane from Cairo to Israel - he publicly executed (live on TV and in Basketball arena in front of hundreds) a group of young men who had a peaceful protest against him in Benghazi - as a result of that, a protest happened in front of the Libyan embassy in London where the soldiers inside were commanded to shoot at the crowd killing multiple protestors including a British police officer - this has painted a negative image on Libyans ending the majority of the Visas forcing families to return back to Libya - he gave multiple millions of dollars in funding for terrorist groups such as al Qaida - his net worth was 400 billion (yes with a B) dollars and with a population of 6 million people only, he could legit make every person a multiple millionaire yet the standard of life of Libyans was very low and Libya was recognised as a third world country - yes electricity was free but how can you have daily blackouts in one of the Worlds leading countries in regards to the Oil business? - Some also say his personal body guards had forceable sexual intercourses with him - The person who found Gaddafi was chopped into pieces and was found in an ally way 2 weeks later - the person who found his son Saif-Al Islam was kidnapped never to be seen again - Yes school was free but the poor quality of teaching and materials used is inevitable - yes married couples received 5000 Dollars.... or wait they dont thats the biggest lie (coming from experience trust me) - he tried to invade chad resulting in the death of hundreds of people There is definitely more to list so yes Libya is in chaos now but this is such a normal and natural process of shifting power from 4 decades under dictatorship into a free democratic republic plus most of those who comment with positive connotations towards the Gaddafi regime have a connection to working for him in some sort of way shape or form whether a personal maid, plumber, gardener, Doctor, nurse, driver, who all lived in paradise including their children and grand children that have been stripped away from that world and have been placed in the reality that everyone else has been living.

I love documentaries but I could help absorbing this tottally biased American product. We all know that whoever dares to defy or go against American/ Zionist rules will be labeled as a terrorist; monster and dictator. Speaking from a total unbiased and neutral pov, i can say the Ghadaffi was a man who had his pros and cons. He ruled his people in the best way he could (at least they had lots of priviliges). What he said in the documentary is true: the real terrorists are American leaders and their European counterparts.
@JDahl-sj5lk
@JDahl-sj5lk 5 жыл бұрын
You don't believe he was crazy? Well then, I'd suggest watching all the documentaries about him you can find, only looking at the film evidence, with an open mind, and then decide. I mean, listen to what Gadaffi says himself, and how he appears. Just do that. Then decide. I don't need anyone to tell me Gadaffi was insane, he does that perfectly himself. He started out ok though. Did a lot good in the start. The foreign policy of the US is another matter, and not something I'll defend. That you can't separate the two seems more biased than any documentary.

Fredo Sinsemilla Yeah, And yesterday I forced some Palestinians out of their home just for a laugh. :) It is obvious that Gadaffi did a lot of good. But it’s equally obvious he was a dictator. Under Saddam Hussein Iraq could be argued to be in a better state than it is now too. Both these men ran secular governments. And while I think it was correct to react when Iraq invaded Kuwait, that was not a regime change war like the one that followed. The US foreign policy is heavily influenced by its military industrial complex, which is a major issue. When one sees the result of all these wars, I think the better route would be peace. And when the people living under these tyrants opt for revolution, that is when one could argue whether other countries should intervene to help or not.

@user-ps8ud1tx9b
@user-ps8ud1tx9b 3 жыл бұрын
@@criminalsandcrimefighters Hi! Well to start I listed two timestamps where the commentary from your experts were focused on ridiculing based on their own opinion. The clown music and appearance critiques are not based on facts, it’s based on controlling a narrative. That type of approach is something the West loves doing to leaders they don’t approve of to invalidate their messages. It’s also important to note now this documentary ignored the role the USA had on Gaddafi’s death (only mentioning it once in the last minutes) and briefly blames the current state of their destabilized country on the “shadow of his (Gaddafi’s) evil.” And the lack of mention of the centralized banking system he planned on constructing as the motive of foreign involvement is probably why this is so. There is information this documentary ignores and unnecessary opinions that this documentary includes to make a one-sided portrayal of Gaddafi.

My impression is that initially he had good intentions for his people ,he probably helped the poor of his country ,but he probably in the end was in denial . I don't believe that he was gentle ,nobody can rule If he is gentle .He probably did and some horrible things ,but he most likely thought that this is for the good of his people and the only way to defend them . His personality had the good and the bad aspect .The standard of living in his country may be was better ,but on the same time he became responsible for the death of innocent people .He probably was harsh with his enemies and very ambitious .Probably his character changed as well within the years . Under Gaddafi, Libya citizens study on scholarships to PHD in any part of the world, even those that don't agree with Gaddafi now prefer and pray for Libya to return to Gaddafi times. Look at what Libya is today! Tony Bliar & George Bush should be in international court of justice for aggression on Libya & Iraq. If they were African Presidents, warrants of arrest will be issued but they walking about free. Putin has being in power now for 20 years, I repeat 20 years, He Russian Leader But if it were Mugabe or Gaddafi in power for 15 years, it will be African DICTATORS. Hypocrisy!!!!
