wanted to post here for everyone to see; v12 is my second wheel after v8 and i've been riding pretty hard, not worried about crashes. BUT I did one crash too many I suppose at 25mph and cracked the plastic body right above the lights at the 10 o clock position so now I can see the motherboard connectors through the gap the plastic fell out. I definitely wish I threw some padding on the top bumper like chooch recommends.

You're spot on about the V12. It's a fantastic wheel. It's a nice upgrade from the 16x. (But I still love my 16X. It's a great first wheel, but for a few dollars more, the V12 is the best option right now.) Great video. Love the backward riding.

As a heavy guy, who appreciate the Inmotion quality, my wish is that their next wheel will be with a 20 or 22 inches diameter tire. With a 2500 to 2700 Wh battery. 80 to 90 kph (50 to 55 mph) top speed... If Inmotion do that with the same quality, other manufacturers will panic like crazy !

My vote: Monocycles. You’re a pro at any wheel, but I worry about the V12’s instability. I’m waiting for a V11/12 combo. I have the V10 & 11 now. Sick backwards riding. I was hit by an SUV in 2015 but while walking. I didn’t want to walk across another street, much less ride my PEVs. The EUC helped me mentally heal from that trauma.

I've heard from a lot of people that the v12 feels a lot bigger than a 16inch wheel and is still stable but im also excited for what inmotion is doing with the v13.

I generally don't like it when people blare their music in public, but on my wheel it seems to be the safest way to let people know I'm coming. I tend to adjust the volume with my phone as needed. It's only a moment that they have to put up with my music, and it relaxes me while riding, so hey.

I'm working on a modular platform. That way people can match the chassis to the tire to the motor to the weight to their body's size and configuration. I got an Mten to practice in the house before my other wheels come - it's as easy to ride as it looks, no lie, but I can't keep air in the tire because it's tiny and I'm 235lbs. It also was bruising up the inside of my shins and calves just riding it around the house because I just don't fit on it. But yeah, for three solid days everyone around the house was giving me hard eyes because I was just going back and forth on this thing giggling like a toddler. I stopped riding it because while I thought I was going to use it for a backpack ride it's not quite strong enough to last me so I'm going to sell it before I scratch it up a bunch or actually spin a bearing. But if an EUC ride could be assembled and configured to fit the rider better out of the box I think adoption would explode and threaten even straight up pedal bikes. For example: the Mten and V8 both have 800W motors (IIRC) but larger people can ride the V8 comfortably and I couldn't ride the Mten without beating up my legs...V10F should be here tomorrow to hold me over until either of the V12/S20 show up (whoever gets here first). It may seem like an investment, but I did get rid of my motorcycles and some other toys that had way more maintenance and other reoccurring costs and time sinks, so I think I actually freed up about 99% of the shop/cleanup time I was spending on all those other things. On the upside, I have a 7 year old niece who is going to lose her mind on that Mten. I even told her dad I'd eat a couple hundred bucks on the deal even though the wheel has less than a couple miles on it; I've ridden it maybe a few hours total. I probably would have broken it if it was more comfortable for me to be on and rode it to death in a hurry. It's a good little wheel but it's still LITTLE. If I was going to keep it for around the house hoots I would def put a solid tire on it, for sure.

haha I still have a couple of Airwheel Q3s... with 2 wheels. Talk about useless... slow.... don't handle (did I mention slow) You just get moving and it tilts you back. Horrible things, but when new, they cost a few grand! From about late 2018 to 2019 things changed big time and we started getting the 'modern' wheels... no longer toys, serious actual electric rideables. Thanks for your videos... actually, I shouldn't REALLY be thanking you... it is your fault I am addicted to EUCs haha .... After buying an E scooter, I accidentally watched your 'nerve wracking hill bomb' video and was immediately hooked. The scooter got sold and I now have have an MCM5 V2, Nikola plus and Sherman.... now and waiting for the S20 to come out... and it is all your fault haha (thanks) even though I am almost $10k in the hole since watching that (great) video haha

Hey Chooch, how is the heat dissipation on this wheel? I'm considering buying one for my travels overseas to hot countries. Would it withstand high outside temperature (100 degrees Fahrenheit and above)?

@@yeahbuddy6852 the plan is to have it moved by a transporter. I know that unfortunately, these devices aren't allowed on commercial planes.
@stoshz29152 жыл бұрын
This wheel is pretty well thermally managed. It has a large heat sink, with the MOSFETs directly attached, that is also exposed to outside air on the inside of the wheel well. It works well enough that inmotion did not put a fan in the wheel at all. It's one of the better options for high outside temperatures.
