Brum mate ALL your videos rock and unlike certain other channels i used to enjoy you dont chug out products you know locksporters cant get (unless you sign up to their webpage etc) my faves are your ghetto or diy from common household objects or easily obtainable scraps vids and the fact you dont condescend or obfuscate! as a longstanding locksmith/locksporter who spends a considerable amount of his time coaxing people into the job (cheaply) i applaud you (too many drill and fill merchants about now) lets keep locksport and the job reputable but most of all FUN!

Now that was another clever innovative tool from Brummie. I must say the video that stick's out most in my brain from this year, after having watched, probably most of them, would be the Abus padlock tension tool. Hi Brummie, you'd have to be the most innovative lever lock picker on KZbin! Nothing too fancy, bent nails, washers for pick handles, forks, bits of wire, and other home made stuff too much to mention, but it all works. From a 78 year old retired Locksmith from Downunder, keep it coming, and all the best for Xmas and New Year. (:-)

Awesome vid. For next year, I'd be interested in seeing videos about modifying the locks themselves, just for fun. Things like rekeying by swapping out the levers from other locks, adding your own anti-pick notches, and duplicating keys. I think that would be pretty neat. Anyway, merry Christmas, and keep up the great work!

Thanks Brummie. I would love some advice on getting into my Dad’s old floor safe. Probably nothing of value, but curious. The key was never found in his house, but the contractors found the safe and were showing an unhealthy interest so I cut the bolts holding it to the joists and have now been lugging it around for about 20 years. I would love to put a new lock in it and be able to use it for something more useful than a paperweight. Any advice welcome.

@@BrummieLockPicker thanks for getting back to me. Donkeys years ago I phoned a couple of “Locksmiths” they wanted an insane amount of money and planned to smash it open. I will keep it in the shed and look on it as a challenge. I have been using fencing wire but maybe I will make up a proper tool. I will keep trying Utube for inspiration. Thanks again.

Yes just make sure the upright is the correct length as a 3 lever lock will not have a curtain
