I just built this, and I gotta say this reminds me of a master grade from the early 2000's. I was really disappointed with the amount of stickers, but I painted them all. So it's ok.

On the red markings the Metal Red Gundam Marker is exactly the same color as the stickers intended i painted it on my HG and it looks awesome

I agree about no MG for this version, but once the show is done with this season or series, I feel a MG will be released. A lot of people also said the same for Thunderbolt being only HG, I have hope for a MG release for both series.

It'd be cool to see a ver.ka which the crossbone ver.ka had reused parts from the full cloth MG that we hopefully will get one of this main suit. We have seen a lot of ver.ka main suit in gundam series like Rx, Victory etc

Non inclusion of the mace is really big for me. There's so many play options with it compared to the sword and gun for my personal tastes; I hope they sell it separately down the line

The one piece I wish they would've integrated just slightly more are those "clavicle pistons" that are supposed to connect the neck to the shoulders... I'll just mod them into mini gattling guns I guess.

ah man great review! -some thought about what you said around 1:36(the possible form 5 of barbatos) I personally think that the mysterious mobile suit isn't the barbatos but the gusion without his big armor. the gusion shares the same frame as the barbatos and akihiro asked orga if he can pilot the gusion so the new MS is just another one. why? well the new parts pack only contains axes for the gusion and his hammer got destroyed so I'm thinking that the MS will be damaged again and they'll discover the frame and why the gusion is a gundam. I'm sure about this because the booster has just appeared 2/3 episodes ago and if the barbatos gets a new form with a backpack he basically can't use the booster making it useless(graze kai is pretty much destroyed ATM). I wonder if they'll do the same with the kimaris though...

Primescape 16 heI man! by "unarmored gusion" I meant "gusions frame with some of his armor". My theory is that the gusion is going to get wrecked and that they'll discover the inner frame(the same of the barbatos) so they'll re-use it (probably with spare parts that they planned to use with the barbatos) and rebuild the gusion from scratch. I didn't mean that the gusion has a "second form" but that hes going to be rebuilt soon! Hope you understood now man

I will be the bomb you fixing the mistakes that BANDAI I like them cheap stickers that they put on but yeah it would be cool to see some paint videos or airbrush or the Gundam markers i'm not a professional at this I'm actually a newbie and hobby is very addicting keep up the good work buddy with the videos man my wife's always getting mad at me because whenever I get a notification on a new video that you do I stop wherever I'm at and start watching it LOL i'm trying to build all of the 100 skills from Iron blooded orphan but yeah keep up the good work buddy love the videos

Stickers are inherently cheap but they're designed for beginners or people who don't care. Dry or wet transfer decals won't stick well to shiny plastic. If you really don't want to improve to the level of clean up/painting, try the soft tip Gundam markers. For example you can't mark in the red on the knees and use a cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean up the excess.

You should wait for the MG version. It will have better mechanics, details, basically everything than FM. FM is like an oversized HG.

The 1/100 is already really good. Not a whole lot it could gain from an MG. But if you don't mind waiting~ go ahead! You might be waiting a long while though.

I believe there is a lot the Barbatos and all the 1/100 models from the IBO series could gain from a master grade treatment. For instance you showed that only the pistons in the waist section are functional. Bandai could just go to town in the inner frame of the Barbatos and make every piston functional like they did with the Sazabi and use different greys and electroplated gold parts. Not to mention parts for complete color separation throughout the model.

What's the difference between the two types? It was a very MG styled box so that may be why I mistook it.

The Hi-Res kit is about 4x the price of a regular MG because the Hi-Res line uses a pre-built frame with metal parts (basically a figure) with armor put on like a normal kit, but much of the armor is metallic, also adding to the price. It's similar to an MG, but it's definitely not in the MG line.

+undead797 If it's between those two, I'd go for the Barbatos! For design, I actually prefer the God Gundam. But that kit is pretty old and a little dated. The Barbatos is a very nice kit.

the HG of this is really shit, worst HG i ever bought the waist is total crap and comes off and parts of the jetpack and the stickers are crap, just an overall bad kit but the 1/100 looks much better
