Slide ratchets force the boxes in-board ..Interesting I was wondering why they looked so far in on this trailer. Personally this is a big detail that would have annoyed me as a buyer. I like the gas struts on the front and top storage. details are good, and keeps from hitting your head in the wind. Are all the batteries connected to each other? Or completely separate. While I like having a battery at the high load device VS far away, I feel they should be connected so they can help each other and is easier to maintain a state of charge. Not sure how much power will come from the truck to charge while driving. Using Winches in off-roading I know they have a big power draw. Honestly would almost rather see 4 6v in series/parallel combination in one box near the front, then the Pump and Air boxes with big wire up to the winch. Easy to run air lines and hoses, and would make charging and maintain the batteries a bit easier in 1 location vs 3 locations. Love the 40k front hitch = quality to me. On the Hydro valve in that box do you have to move it to drive the jacks VS the tail? or is it automatic? or did I misunderstand. Love the steps down the side. And a Big Shout out and LOVE that you and your camera person took time to show us around the trailer I learned a BUNCH about Diamond C and Elm City!!!

Most air ride systems, you can dump the air bags to get a (even better) loading angle. Is this / can you dump the air from both axles to the better load angle on this suspension?

Hey David, they do not offer a “dump valve” to let all the air out at once, but you can manually let the air out of the tank if you needed the deck a little lower.

There is a leveling valve underneath on the rear tandem. Have to crawl under the trailer and disconnect it to dump air. Difficult to do, but very helpful to reduce the loading angle. It drops the trailer 3 to 4 inches down onto the bumpstops. I do it frequently and it helps. Needs a dump valve in convenient location. Are you listening Diamond C? Seriously great trailer. Mine is also a 44 ft. Beware of length laws. These are only legal behind a cab n chassis if over 65 ft. Cab n chassis makes it a tractor trailer and let's you go to 75 ft. Overall length.

I have a 2015 with the shorter Dove and the block you pull in and out. The dove flops quite a bit without anything on it. Is this the case with the new can system? Just put in my order for a 40' Fmax216.

Yeah put the hydraulic block with the lines in the tool box so when you grab a binder or bungee you can rip off a hydraulic line.

Agreed, not sure why the hoses need to be in the box, I suspect I would move those But most of my chain would be top side. I suspect I would move the batteries around as well 3 locations to maintain I suspect would bug me.

The slide ratchets on the same side as the underbody boxes is a bad way to order these trailers if you have a load and strapped down into place and you need to get into your boxes you have to unbind your load and move the slide ratchets to access the boxes

I don't think it is unreasonable to ask a range. the issue is you say a price and people assume there are all that price but not notice the feature or add on. This trailer for sure has a BUNCH of options. tail, hydro jack, winch, 44 feet, extra lights, 16k axles... not many options not checked, might be 15-20k worth of options. so if its over your budget you might write off a manufacture that actually has an options that fits your needs budget.

@@uprisingengineeringusa5031 That's a loaded question these days. The factory is so backed up because those of us who want to work are working. So, I have orders out until the last 1/4. So a a real estimate is possibly the last quarter (Oct-Dec) or first 1/4. (Jan-March). I wish I could get them quicker, but since our lots are so empty, we keep taking deposits on units before they come. So it's tough to build any inventory. If/when you're ready, just call me. Sometimes someone will cancel because they find something used or just can't wait, and then their spot opens up. Thanks. 203-535-0075.,
