Your post shows a lack of knowledge about the real world. For one, you need to have a phone. Secondly, basic over-the-air TV is free. And lastly, most people don't have those bad habits. The fact is that if you don't have enough income to afford rent, then there is very little you could do except try to find a cheaper place to rent. Also I will add that if schools charge fees for extracurricular activities, then you have little choice but to pay them. That's because in modern day America, employers do not value the academics taught in high school, and so the only way your kids will have a chance is if they do extracurricular activities!

There is a statue 15 U.S. Code 1635a that states, If the obligor(you) are not given any notice of Consolation form, or any Disclosures in reference to a contract or term lease awareness of your rights to Rescind(a legal time of which you can exit out of any contract without cause of one being in default but also one will receive all deposits or property back to the obligor in full. So my landlord breached an agreement to settlement to my debt owed in rent that is detailed within text messaged by the landlord of acceptance, then he stopped contacting me to be followed up by a letter of 14 days to quit! So now Im get a lawyer and proceed with order to Rescind with restitution and lease term null and void.

Im going to file a Right to Rescind (15 U.S. Codes 1635) against the term lease and against the landlord(Creditor)for not properly specifying my Rights to Rescind as a obligor to any disclosures there be of within these parameters, that the Creditor as obligated by Bureau to completely insure the obligor is in full knowledge before signing a contract or term lease agreement. Due to the creditor (landlord)to not honor an agreement by, to which both parties of resolved issue be completed,the landlord in a text message that he later faulted by breach of not accepting the set tender currency's that he was completely satisfied in resolution. I understand cost rising and have one of the few non profit manufactured communities in the US. I am holding the line at $210 a month for the most expensive lot. If I went with what is charged in the are I would be well over $400 a month. I may have to raise it a few dollars this year as my costs are greater now then what I charge. I am limited to eight percent above cost Right now I am about five percent under cost.

Back in the 60's people often stayed in an apartment for 1 year to save enough to move into a house. Now there's no incentive to buy houses. It's still too landless. People can't grow squat without some room outside. Community gardens suck in every case. They are rotting and overgrown all over Los Angeles. They never work. People need their own well defined sacred space land. Growing is sacred.

Here in California you’re expected to make 3x your rent when rent is typically $1800 to $2000 per month. The national average annual income for a single person is like $48k …. They want you to make $72k a year for a single person when most families are not making that kind of money together. SMH 😂 not to mention the landlord is more than likely going to raise rent next year plus the place you’re renting is either infested with roaches or other issues

For decades, politicians have been saying that they're empathetic to the plight of the homeless and their supposed concern about the lack of affordable housing. Yet, during that same time frame not a one of them has done ANYTHING to address the problem. The government does NOT care about the shortage of affordable housing. They don't care that people are being evicted by the millions due to landlords' greed as a result of a lack of rent control. At the same time, Maine is willing to give asylum seekers (read: illegal immigrants) up to 2 years' worth of rental assistance and in CA they're willing to give illegal immigrants taxpayers' money to put a down payment on a house. What's wrong with this picture? This is a slap in the face to every American that has been, or is in the process of being evicted. I'll never understand why the government is willing to pull out all the stops to help illegal immigrants, yet turn a blind eye to the plight of homeless Americans or those that are facing eviction due to greedy landlords charging extortionist rents.

I lived in Wichita a couple years.. peaceful good food and folks.. Cheap rent.. but slow economy . Too " retiring like " for me. Nothing to do . I moved back here last year.. more expensive food sucks but I charge more for my work. If something comes up. Me and kitty are hunkering down in a big old mansion boarding house. I finally lowered the hammer on a few tenants who can't clean after themselves.. I have that right since I pay rent too. I'm looking for another place but I'm watching the trend. Hang on PATRIOTS

When minimum wage was first implemented the promise was that a minimum wage would provide a person (usually a man) working full time the ability to support a spouse (usually a wife), and one young child with at least a minimum of survival. A simple small home or apartment, food on the table, heat in the winter. Now that won't provide for the one worker.
