For a moment there I thought Bill was saying that Chris added ballast to the 44-tonner! I was thinking, where? I had to run it back to get it straight. Sweet looking engines. I love the yellow industrial unit with the black stripes, but I just wish it was on the version with the opening vents on top of the hoods. Maybe next time. 🤠👍

Having read much of John McPhee's work, I really appreciate how thoroughly the Shad Shack anchors the closing scene in New England before the train is brought into view. What a great detail on Chris's layout!

Holy cow, I just finished super detailing and remotoring a new old stock Bachmann DCC 44-tonner and painted it for my sawmill operation. Wish I knew about this one as I would have bought one. I'm extremely pleased with the one I just built but I gotta get a couple of these.
