HOLY COW, I'm old. I saw in the theater, I was 14, and my brother was only 16, so how did that even happen? Surely it was R rated, but my town didn't care much about enforcing that I guess. I remember after coming out into the light of day, my hands were shaking. I watched them shake. Good times.

My parents took me and my family and 4 Japanese exchange students to see Alien when i was 8 years old and when the chestburster exploded out of Cain i got up and RAN out of the theater!🤣

i still think alien is far better than it's sequel aliens. i feel aliens sold out and ruined the alien horror franchise. killing aliens left and right is not scary.

I think Aliens works great as an action movie. But as a horror fan, Alien has always been my favorite!

@@archangelmusic13 Aliens shows exactly how the Armed Forces would react to an Alien threat. The colony had disappeared - they send in the marines. The film is exactly as it should be. The movie you wanted was to see the downfall of the Colonists - unarmed and unaware - they had no chance. I grew up devouring horror, yet I still prefer to rewatch Aliens rather than Alien - and I love Alien.

@@archangelmusic13 Aliens is not Hollywood crap - it is an excellent film. You wanted another Alien film - but that was impossible. The audience knew what the Alien looked like - the audience knew what the Alien was capable of. The element of surprise was gone. Aliens is the finest of the Alien sequels - do you agree? Killing Aliens left and right was thrilling to watch - and it built tension incredibly well.
