Do you have a special place or technique for drying to leather hard? Will you clear glaze over the entire platter? Love the new direction you're experimenting with. The 2 camera angles are are great. Thank you for another wonderful video.

I dried it slowly. Since my studio is in my backyard I can take care of it easily. This is what I did to most of my pots: When the rim is firm enough, I flip my pots up side down and let them dry that way till they are ready to trim. During drying, I came in my studio once in a while to rotate the pots so that they dry more evenly. If I find the rim is too dry I brush water to rehydrate the rim. Sometimes in the night time I even leave the wheel spinning while drying the large pot.

Sorry for an uninformed question but can you say how you made the black slip? Would underglaze work as well? Thanks for all your videos.

I haven’t tested the results yet, so I am hesitant to give out the recipe.

Well ....if your clay is coloured by nature that helps. then u could try out : add 10% Fe oxid plus 4% cobalt oxid to the slip , mix it very well , sieve it maybe two times . One thing : the Fe lowers the melting temp. of the clay-mass . If ur burnin high lets say above 1100 degree you may lower the Fe and ad 2-3 % chrom oxid ........you must try out......
