As a person that does 10+ HPDE a season wtih a BRZ, I removed my stiffer adj.rear sway (RCE) and put the stock rear sway back on, you'll have far more grip in AutoX and lapping days. You might also have wheel lift otherwise. Goal is just the right amount of suspension travel that maintains your contact patch. Everything else looks great. Go for around -3.5 camber front and -2.5 rear. Subscribed. BBK is not really required. Save money and get stoptech/DBA rotors, Feredo/Carbotech/winmax pads, SS lines, and Motul fluid. That's all you need unless you're endurance racing.

@JosephSamsor5 жыл бұрын
Kue Lee what does that have to do with anything? 4.6k for suspension parts alone is a lot of money. That has nothing to do with driving skill/knowledge. I saw your other comment too when someone called the frs slow. Yes, it’s a slow car. Acknowledging that doesn’t make someone ignorant about driving. 200hp is nothing. People who own them as well complain about it.
@garchomp8895 жыл бұрын
Kue Lee you must not know much about parts, $4600 to get walked by a Ford Explorer. Yeah it’s made for the track but there’s no balance slow piece of shit 86
@imnota5 жыл бұрын
I totally understand your point of view, but you don't understand his because of two reasons : 1. You've probably never been in a car with a really great aftermarket suspension setup 2. The area where you live probably hasn't lot of twisties so you feel like 200hp is way too slow. There really is nothing better than a proper suspension setup, and the roads you have really influence your driving style (thus the mods you do)and power needs. Like obviously it would be dumb to spend that much on suspension to street drive your car in New York where you either go straight or turn 90 degrees, but for a street and track car in Canada, it's a great choice.

Did you tune the car to make it backfire? Love the pops and crackles. Or is it all because of the exhaust?

The exhaust helps, but the tune that Luca has makes a world of a difference

What changes a car definitely isn’t more power but how it handles. I love suspension mods first then tires and brakes then power. I love fortune auto but sadly they don’t have any for my car but BC, Bilstein, and KW do. Car looks good.
@OllamhDrab5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's really more important to me. (Not to mention should be standard procedure even if you *want* huge power. Most of my fun isn't in the straight lines, just something torquey with a bit more power than I strictly 'need' is my happy place. ) I'd kinda rather be getting closer to the peak of a slower car than constantly holding back an overpowered one. :)
@Ejiokpa165 жыл бұрын
@@OllamhDrab It's definitely easier to find the limits in a lower powered car than a high powered one. Everything happens at a slower pace. I think people forget that and go straight to power because its easier and than trying to figure out the right suspension setup.
@OllamhDrab5 жыл бұрын
@@Ejiokpa16 Yeah, a lot of the boys think the bragging rights on horsepower need to come first, but that's not generally the best way. It's also about what actually fits your lifestyle. LIke, if I built a dedicated track car, how often would I make it to a track day? Maybe not much more often. :) (So, probably I'll be looking for a project car I'll build for lightness and the roads outside town where I can do some grand tourer style driving, without shattering speed laws. (Or I'll make my daily more into that, that's just in 'may as well engine and trans swap' territory. but suspension and stuff are already well underway as I go. :) )

What was the need for stiffer rears then fronts considering it's a front engine RWD car, wouldn't that just make it cause oversteer
@milanmastracci5 жыл бұрын
I think it has to do with the balance on the car. The stiffer rear end will help it rotate which will help at the track. It should be easier to control with steering input and throttle modulation, and is preferred to understeer.
@OllamhDrab5 жыл бұрын
@@milanmastracci Especially since adjustable and you'll be track testing, that's why you're better off erring on the side of oversteer and then dialing back for more grip options, as make sense. I probably would have started a notch softer in back if that constitutes 'two steps stiffer than stock,' but may be that extra bit of compliance for regular roads that helps keep a lot of cars sorted out. When I did new end links on the purchase of my daily Volvo, for instance, the poly bushings I basically always get for everything and usually make things more taut actually were a lot better for being *more* compliant than the rubber ones that had just been mooshed down more and more till they turned hard as rocks that way some untold decade ago. :) Real reminder that stiffer isn't always actually better. (I was lucky and this also came with the biggest stock sway bars which some actually *prefer* even on the track. ) It was a bit of a strange combination with the fact they omitted the front crossmember brace to make most of the American ones more cushy, I put in an IPD piece that ties everything together nice. Anyway, all these things make the weight transfers a lot more predictable and keep the tires *down* when over-stiffness could actually have weight coming *off* wheels at inopportune moments.
