Thank you so much for not putting “music” over this symphony. The sound of that machine being ran by this guy is truly music to my ears. This machine will run another 50 years with only oil changes if operators like this run it. No slamming, no clanking, no bogging, no abuse. It really is beautiful ground too. Not a rock in sight. Reminds me of Mariposa county above the Merced river.

I've never heard of a slope board I thought that was the way you do it. Lol Love cutting those truck roads through steep ground. Great running dozer with a very good operator!
@LoBeau533 жыл бұрын
This doesn’t look like a job for a slope board to maybe after the road was cut across the face of the slope, he could use one to trim the bank but in this instance I think it would be cumbersome. Having said that , I have trimmed a lot of slopes with a D-8H but never run a slope board so could be mistaken
@Geoff-m7j2 ай бұрын
We called slope boards batter boards in Australia. Country Roads Board had lots of D7Es and many good operators who using an angle blade could cut a very nice batter face in rock in road cuttings which was usually 1:1 and too hard for a grader. It was quite a skill. Those sort of professional dozer operators don’t exist today.
