unfortunately they cant do this for most youtubers, if they did they would never have time for the general public, it would be nice if they did it for large channels like aquaholic but unfortunately a lot of boat builders are not that up on modern advertising methods like youtubers, the way they see it, for every single sale they might get from a youtuber they might get 4 or 5 from the general public they let onto the boat, dont forget that a lot of viewers are not in the position to buy a boat like this or any boat come to think of it.

A most excellent sailing yacht. The layout and appointments are almost superb. I say almost because the guest cabin showers look like they could only comfortably accommodate folk built like Aeon Flux. Me, I'd likely get in. But, getting out...dicey, at best. Still, it's a beautiful boat. How Nautitech implemented handling the rigging from the conn is brilliant. Entertainment isn't the focus of this boat. This is a family yacht. Even when the water's a bit rough, the whole family can help crew from the relative shelter at the conn. Well done.

The good: nice open floor plan, decent cabins, sail drive means the engines aren't located under the aft cabin beds, the separate owner toilet at the bottom of the stairwell is ideal for use as a day head, forward facing nav station, davit system for the dingy, galley location perfect location and design to serve both inside dining and the aft cockpit area. The bad: Fly bridge only steering station had very little protection in bad weather, cold weather, etc. The Bimini top needs bigger clear panels so that you can see the sails better. Having to go outside to get to the fly bridge would normally be a problem, but since you are completely exposed at the controls anyway - I guess that is not a major problem. Hopefully the nav station has auto pilot controls so that once you get on a steady track you can stand part of your watch inside in bad weather. I agree with others that you should do more multi-hulls. I would like to see a trimaran or two as well. Great video as usual.

What's remarkable with this cat is that it's very light compared to other production cats while also featuring pretty narrow hulls. It should be must faster than a Lagoon 45 for example. The fly bridge on top also solves a major "problem" for those coming from monohull charters, which is that in other cats there is simply no way for the whole group to be together with the helmsmen. Here you can fit everyone at the same time on the upper deck, while still offering the possibility to get some privacy on the trampoline or in the cockpit. This is pretty much a perfect solution for the Med of the Caribbeans. I would charter this any day over a Lagoon or Fountain Pajot.

@@RogerWilco1 I must admit that I´m turning into quite a fan of motor-cats. The amount of space you get is simply great, and I like the privacy you get from having the cabins in the separate hulls. Manoeuvrability and efficiency is usually superior to monohulls as well.

Kenneth André Hansen Yep. You get three times the space for twice the price! With the Aspen- which is a Proa rather then a catamaran- you get a lot better fuel efficiency than a comparable monohull. I’m just glad they exist as a category- for so long multihull boats were an oddity rejected out of hand.

It's a bit like cars - you're a Mercedes or BMW family, a monohull or catamaran family. I've always been a monohull person, but can certainly appreciate some of the advantages (and disadvantages) of a cat. The main areas certainly make use of the extra beam, but because of relatively narrow hulls, the cabins are narrow. BTW Nick - a medal for your extreme patience. I've noticed more and more these days that people are just totally unaware of what's happening around them, and even if they were, they're not going to get out the way until they're ready! GIve yourself a birthday present - the cattle prod option for your GoPro.

Most Cat owners despise fly bridge. Ask me how I know. Lol. They look horrible and they raise the boom costing you performance. The only times I’ve actually wanted the fly was when I bough the damn thing and entering/exiting marinas and tight spots like reefs. The better solution is a hd camera on the mast. Gives the same benefit without the drawbacks.

Gives you better visibility when at sea, or when docking. For offshore you want to build a covering.

Scott West Can’t see lots of submerged containers from a mast camera like you can from a flybridges. I’m all for cameras all over but they either are lower resolution or limited field of view. Silly to worry about performance in Cruising cats. If you want just weekend racer this isn’t your boat. If you want to cross oceans you don’t want a performance boat- that speed comes at the penalty of wearing out the crew.

I wrote it before, but simply must write it again; I LOVE watching YOUR video tours of boats! You've got a real knack for this skill in both video quality and narration... even your video edits are excellent. You're spoiling me from watching any other boat tour videos... they just can't compete. I think you're at your absolute best when the owner/manufacturer let's you video and narrate privately through every part of the boat -- that's when you slow down the video and narration just a wee bit and in a more relaxed fashion describe/point out all the features and functions. Anyway, I digress... this is another excellent video! -- you make watching even videos for boats I'm not crazy about interesting!! :D Wishing you all the best in 2020!

Sailing + motor yacht makes sense. You can streatch your range and fuel to essentially unlimited if you have wind. Cats don't really have more space but it's a compromise. Price value is excellent!

@cornskid it definitely is better than a monohull. You can prepare your food without stuff rolling off, you can sleep normally, it's almost as good to live on as a motoryacht with stabilizers.

It's good to see one of these from one of your tours, and this model is superb. On KZbin, I also follow @SailingLaVagabonde (a couple been sailing round the world for 5 years now) So I've seen a similar (a little smaller) boat 'used in action' and they seem absolutely brilliant for 'least cost comfort sailing'.
