Randay, when you mention vinegar, oxalic acid powder diluted in water is a perfect wood bleach. It restores the original colour to woods such as cedar and teak.

Someone says it's overpriced, but it's not a freakin Bayliner Bud, it's a handcrafted limited edition boat with a nice Yanmar and a jet drive, that boats 150k new all day if not more which it probably is, 48k is a bargain.

You two never disappoint .the non sailing boat's you show are all unique and interesting to see .if you really feel guilty maybe a trip to an historical vessel with a captain Q and Ran Day guided tour would be a good way to asajj your guilty feeling .Not to add it would be great fun for every one.

Thanks for the boating variety gents. That is a lot of 22' boat with true downeast heritage designed I believe by Spencer Lincoln of Duffy boat fame. Having one of her older larger sisters I can attest to the robust build of Webbers Cove hulls. A beauty you will not take your eyes off as you row away from her.

Not really sure about the single burner stove but one can always toss a Coleman somewhere in the cockpit and burn away. I'm with you guys, I'd need more head room, otherwise, there is a lot to like about this boat.

A bow thruster on a 22 foot power boat ? What will they think of next ? The lighting while looking at the engine compartment could have been better or I wouldn't have to ask if this was a super or turbo-charged engine. Randay ! This would be a great boat for 2-4 anglers fishing the Great South Bay off the Southern shore of Long Island, Long Island Sound or just offshore. I used to dream about a boat like this, but those dreams are for the younger crowd now. This was a very nice diversion and as you say she is a beautiful little lady that will provide countless years of pleasure for the right stewards. Thank you both for the fun video. I wish I could make it up to Annapolis in 2 weeks, but it's not going to happen this year. I'm looking forward to the next video and seeing you both in Annapolis even though it will be via KZbin.

Jet drives server their purpose well if you need to navigate shallow water but they are very high RPM devices so they're kind of hard on engine longevity. All that said if you're in a area where line fouling of the prop and such is an issue they are great. The do make fabulous river boats. Unfortunately it's not the boat for me as I'm pretty sure you couldn't really spend a month on her. Hope your head heals well Randay. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

I have a MacGregor 26x (plus about 8 other boats) and yes it's not a boat for everyone. Actually it's a boat that's been greatly misaligned, mostly by traditional "real sailors " from back east. I would love to see this boat in your program and your commentary on price, value and design. love your sense or humor!!

There are downsides to the jet drive. It can suck in ropes and tangle up so badly the engine dies. Happened to a friend. Had to get a long tow back to port. Just saying. Also, it takes practice to adapt to the jet drive's steering behaviors. Still a great machine.

No need to apologize for featuring the occasional power boat. Even though my heart wants to sail I dont think my body would appreciate the work involved. A bit on the small side for cruising and fishing the Great Lakes where I live it appears to be ideal for exploring the little coves and bays of Maine.
