Hey will there be one for 2017? If so, when is it on?
@IainAnderson7 жыл бұрын
Yes! End of September/start of October. More info here: www.igdabrisbane.org/go423/ (and a gaming-related event this weekend if you're in Brisbane).

Having run into the organisers over the last few days, I have to revise my answer to "maybe". Will post here once I know what will be happening this year.

interesting challenge, thumbs up

I'm thinking of doing it next year. Are you required to use Unity and Unreal? I prefer to use Godot, is that a viable option?
@IainAnderson8 жыл бұрын
You can use whatever you want. There was at least one team using Godot this year, called Godotgofast, @ 3.47 above.

Is there an age limit?
@IainAnderson8 жыл бұрын
Not sure, but most participants are university age or older. If you ask on the official Twitter there might be an official answer: twitter.com/48hrgamecomp and here's the site in case you want to read further: 48hrgamecomp.com

how does a game made out of cardboard when best graphics wtf it's not even a game model. that's like saying real life has the best graphics???!
@IainAnderson7 жыл бұрын
It wass actually mostly 3D printed I think, not just cardboard. But yeah, a surprise winner. :)
@devonsteyn39256 жыл бұрын
Legit the ONLY reason that board game one was because real life LITERALLY has the best graphics. That is not fair what so ever.
