Ovens Rocky Mountain Bushcraft

Күн бұрын

Greg and Finn venture back into the bush for a 48 Hour Survival Challenge with only TWO items, battling wet weather and other adverse conditions.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

16:25 This is why I love Greg. He leaves the footage of him tripping over a tree. That clip would have never seen the light of day if it were me. But he's such a genuine, honest, entertaining human being that he's like, "I mean, I fell. Happens. What are you gonna do?" You rock, dude.

The most peaceful times of my life started camping with my mother on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with just a tent and we would eat whatever we caught on the fire.. My favourite memory to go to in my head when life is tough is in the woods, I remember every detail. Life lately has gotten so difficult.. I am 50 have just been diagnosed with early onset dementia along with a slew of medical issues, my husband is in the end stage of heart failure, my bosses are horrible, I’m about to lose my home. Greg helps, his demeanour, his patience and positive attitude helps me distress and fall asleep. I am ever grateful for Greg and his team. Thank you

Your videos takes me back in time to some interesting times , this one pretty much match what I did . I had the moss and it was also wet so I laid about 6 or so inches of pine needles on top and changed them out a few times to absorb the moisture and it worked great . Once the hot rocks were blended in to the others and the moss was dry along with the rye grass , it was a good night . Continue to bring these great videos to us and others that never done survival.

He really is. Im watching from a country where farmers pesticides has ruined all fishing and there is almost no wild nature. On top of that you cant make traps, and rules about fishing and hunting are really strict

Nice Greg, this is much better than those fishing trips. I fully understand it's more comfortable but I think most of the viewers subscribed for these kind of videos.

Getting ready to watch this right now. Really looking forward to it. But Greg you shouldn't do without your coffee and a few essentials. We love everything you do you don't have to put yourself out that much.

Another excellent video Greg 👍👍. Luv that blanket + same as me . I don't use gloves, while digging & foraging for materials 😉. Great advice on the bow drill method, I had a hard time learning it 🥴. Now it only takes me minutes 😃

I really enjoyed this video! I like the more primitive stuff, like making a fire using a bow drill! I love the little tips you sprinkle throughout the video!! Keep it up Greg!👍
