I was in Hoian in 2008, it is much more touristy now. I love the boats with the lanterns, I did not see this in 2008. It is too bad, it is so overrun with tourists now. Cuteness overload with the little girl. I'd love to go back there at some point. Where did you stay along the river? Your drone shots are great!

Great to see you got to go to the magical city of Hoi Anh. Like you I saw that everywhere on Instagram and when I first saw it at night with the lanterns lit up, it was so so beautiful and it didn't disappoint. At the 31:30 mark, that is usually made out of tapioca and that is why it's a bit chewy. Like the drinks with the tapioca balls which are a bit chewy as well. I saw you didn't make it to one of the best sandwiches shops there. Anthony Bourdain, one of the original traveling food shows went there and ever since, the place is non stop busy. I had to eat it 3x in the 2 days I was there. Banh Mi Phuong is the name of the place if you ever make it back there. Love your passion for traveling. I will be living in Da Nang next year and will check out your guide.

I’m so excited that you are traveling around Vietnam and checking out other areas. Vietnam has so much to offer. I love Vietnam. You should also check out the villages way up north, one place is called Cat-Cat. You could go on a group hike, there are several to choose from. You hike with a group through the hills, rice terraces, through some villages. Lunch is included in the fee. A bunch of Hmong women will follow you. If you get assistance from them by holding their hand while traversing steep or muddy areas you are expected to buy home made things from them at the end of hike. FYI.

Hoi An is beautiful. Your next video will be amazing at Sun World at Ba Na Hill. I was there 2 years again. It's the only amusement park that I know of that is above the clouds. In addition, the trolley ride to the Sun World amusement park is the highest in the world. Have fun and looking forward to your next video.

OMG- you made it to Hoi An, my favorite small town in Vietnam, my favorite city is Hanoi. Each place has so much to offer. While in Hoi An, you need to check out Garden City, it’s what everyone called it. It’s closer to the Bang beach near ocean.

You make your videos so enjoyable! I work on a research ships all over the world, after my next voyage to Antarctica I will have 3 months off so I plan to visit Vietnam now they have 90 day visa. Thank you so much Janine for all your travel videos, I have fallen in love with Da Nang thanx to you and I have never been there Ha! I love Hoi An. I stayed there for two weeks the first visit then went to Da Nang for a few days. My second trip I spent a week in Hanoi then went to another area but can’t remember the name because it’s in Vietnamese.

I’m in the process of trying to buy my ticket to Bali. I don’t want to buy a R/T direct to/from Bali because I want to visit Vietnam or Thailand as well.
