I tried the egg coffee but not the salt coffee. When I was in Vietnam it was cool out, not hot. I was in Vietnam during the winter and it was about 70 * Fahrenheit. I also went up north to a few different villages. It was amazing.

Your enthusiasm is as contagious as your patriot Noraly Schoenmaker (Itchy Boots), who rode her motorcycle throughout the world. Born in Vietnam, raised in Brazil, and educated here in the US. I heard that Da Nang is more tolerable in March than the time you are visiting now. I am glad I can speak Vietnamese, going to plan a deserved vacation in the near future. I’m excited that you are in Vietnam. I had not been there since 2020 and throughly enjoyed my time there. Although it was my second visit there. My first visit I spent all my time in Hai An and Da Nang. My second visit I went to Hanoi and up north to CatCat and a few other villages. There is so much to see and do in Vietnam. I absolutely love it there.

Yes, I am from the Netherlands and I lived in Bali, Indonesia for the last 5 years! I feel at home in Bali and don't really miss the Netherlands 😊 But Da Nang is also a beautiful city, I would see myself coming back to Da Nang every year. I love it!

Mijn vrindin en ik hebben laatst een sabbatical genomen en zijn 6 maanden gaan reizen door Zuid-Oost Azie. Hiervan ruim 2 1/2 maand doorgebracht in Vietnam en zo'n 2 1/2 week in Dan Nang\Hoi an. We moesten beiden even wennen aan Da Nang (toch best modern, groot en druk) maar zou nu zo terug willen. Wij hadden de gehele tijd een scooter en konden zo de gehele omgeving verkennen wat daar erg leuk is. Mocht je nog wat tips willen hebben dan hoor ik dat graag. Wij waren er afgelopen maart en toen was het prima weer, geen idee hoe het er nu is.

OMG- you have to check out Hoi An right next door to Da Nang. Hanoi is awesome as well. I loved walking around the small gangs (alleys) in Hanoi. You will love it there. I almost favor Vietnam over Bali, except Bali has a vibe like none other, so I will always go back there.

For my first time in Asia, I was going to stay a few days in Bangkok then travel to Hua Hin to Phuket then fly north to Chiang Mai. I am a local here, please don't take vacation to the middle of Vietnam during the winter (including Da Nang). The weather would be a lot worse. There is high chance of continuous rain for weeks and serious storms. Nha Trang is fine but not Da Nang or Hue during mid September to December

Always use a Grab Car over regular taxi’s in Vietnam. Regular taxi’s will try rip you off every time. A grab driver told me that a regular taxi ripped off a new arrival $100 dollars because she didn’t know the money exchange.
