Yeah I would have passed on climbing the wet snowy hill too....but you had to go back for the camera. Someone else I follow was joking that he could easily slip and fall and disappear in a crevasse and the camera end up being found lol. I give you props about both of you living for a year in confined space, I like teasing Chad but this shows a real mature relationship of 2 people working together towards the same common goal. I want to snowbird in mine one day soon but it could be manageable with a screenroom type setup and shower/potty tent. I admit I am not looking forward to this adventure ending but you have so many possibilities... canal boat through europe? I think that would be a fun adventure, strap a pair of Ebike's on top to explore. Happy Travels!

Ah you are so cool Derek! A canal boat would be SO much fun and we really want to get some ebikes in the future! Thanks for always cheering us on. No worries about messing with me. I know I’m easy to pick on. 😂

Very unfortunate that the conditions and weather did not cooperate with your trip to Rainier. Would have loved to have seen your hikes. However, those make-do-meals-with-what's-available looked delicious and saved the day. Amazing what Chef Claire can cook up. As for van living, I totally agree with your sentiments and opinions. It looks adventuresome and fun but we mostly see the better half of that style of living. I envy the lifestyle at times but I know that the reality isn't all whoop tee doo and celebration. All the more to THANK YOU for taking us on your journeys and sharing. Cheers 🥂

Dear Chad and Claire, in 2020-2021, seeing a young couple like you so in love yet practical and happy together is really special. I love Claire's smiles and always manage to put a positive spin on any set back along the trip make the videos more fun to watch and realistic expiriences. Chad is a very special young man, we can see his love for Claire from the way he looks at Claire... Now I say Chad is a very special young man because he grew up in Savanna Georgia which is part of the "Deep South", I have lived and worked in that part of America for a couple years, having a mixed race relationship in the Deep South is definitely not easy to say the least. Yet, when I watch Chad interacts with Claire he seems oblivious about anything else just love pure and simple. Chad reminds me of a Buddhist saying about a lotus flower how it close tight while going thru the mud and water, only to open up when it breaks thru the surface to reveal its pure beautiful colors to welcome the sun rays. Congratulation to both of you, you two are made for one another, you are a very special young couple during this trying time. Love is the greatest gift of all. Thank you for sharing your love with America. 👍

Hey Richard! Thank you so much for incredibly kind words! It means so much to us both. I actually did not grow up in Savannah Georgia, but instead am from Nashville, TN. Nevertheless I’m definitely still from the south so your point is still made. Thank you for choosing to support us by watching and by sharing your positive comment. It really helps to keep our spirits up!

Another great video! I like what Joseph Tutor said below. Chad you are truly one of a kind. Through this whole journey you have went above and beyond! Chad I am amazed of how you do double work with the camera. Going to place it and then going back to show us the journey. Chad this video showed how amazing you are going back for your Wife Claire to show the Journey. You have done this countless times through this Journey. But this time was sweet how you took care of Claire. Claire you were brave today. You have such faith in Chad and it showed in this video. I am sad its almost over, but excited to follow you on your next journey. Claire you are amazing with all your cooking! I love watching what you make. Besides the fun and hiking that you both do, the history lessons are fun as well

I’ll be with you overseas! Should you arrive in Sweden and find yourselves in Dalarna, you will be more than welcome to visit my husband and I and be able to stretch out, do laundry and eat meals prepared by someone else. I assure you that I am a great cook! Everyone I know tells me so. Our apartments also have a “guest” apartment where guests of ours are welcome to stay, so you could even experience privacy. Thank and bless you for so genuinely and honestly sharing your adventures with us! Jerri

Mt. Rainier is one of my favorite places to hike in the Pacific Northwest. Every year, I can't wait for July, when I can start hiking there and at other the mountains in the area. If you ever visit Portland again between June and October, Mt. Saint Helens (located between Portland and Mt. Rainier) is a volcano that erupted in 1980 and is amazing to look at from up close (besides having good hiking trails). Specifically, I recommend Highway 504 for the first visit to Mt. Saint Helens.

Washingtonian here! Loved this video - Mt. Rainier is such a special place. When you were in the Patriarch trail, you should have gone across the parking lot and done the Silver Falls trail! It's so beautiful and has a fantastic waterfall (I got married on this trail❤). And too bad the Sunrise area isn't open yet, it's the most beautiful part of the park, in my opinion. If you ever come back here, do it in September; the weather is great and the snow will all be gone (it can stick around in parts of Sunrise even through July).

I visited in August and everyone was dressed in summer clothes. There were clearly marked trails, but the sunshine was disarming. So I had the experience of seeing a woman dressed in a lovely, sleeveless summer dress take one step off the marked trail and fall through the snow up to her hips into a rushing glacial stream. She wasn’t the only one to scream!

It’s hard for me to believe that you two are in your early twenties, bec your mindset is closer to people in their thirties! It’s June 23 according to my calendar, but looking at all that snow, made me think that this video is time delayed, and it’s actually mid March 🤣! Mike & Stephanie from Vanlife Sheldons Travel Adventures live full time in a Ford Connect too! I’ve been following them for about 3yrs now, and they’re older than you guys, but seem to love living in their tiny home…everyone is different right? Always my best to you 🤗😀
