I'm a truck driver and I have a tip for you. If you aren't afraid of approaching a random trucker ask one if they have an extra shower. We get free showers with fuel. If it's a driver that has a daycab they probably don't use showers because they go home everyday. I personally have 8 showers on my pro-card right now that I won't use.

As of May 28th, Zion no longer requires shuttle passes. If you purchased one before they changed the policy, they give you priority loading :)

So useful, thank you. Have to wait 2 yrs but planning mini van layout and itinerary. Nothing set in stone but that keeps life interesting. I won't have heater or fridge either. How long does ice last and does it get into everything when melts. So looking forward to, can't wait. If this works out may purchase skoolie to live retirement on the move. Thanks again 👍♥️🙂♥️👍

Great tips. Lots of the things y’all spell out in this video is how I helped my son and daughter plan out and pull off an around the country road trip after they graduated in May. They gave me a list of 27-28 national parks they wanted to hit and I found a couple of websites that I was able to plot a roughly shortest route among all the sites. From that we got the order for all the parks on their adventure and they used Google maps to go from one location to the next. A Google sheets spreadsheet has been invaluable to plan out the tentative dates for their schedule, and they’ve stuck to those dates really well. They left out on May 23 and will be returning home around Jul 2 finishing up their 11500 trip. They have used ioverlander for the most part to find campsites and free water locations and showers and laundry locations. They’ve stayed in the Morraine Park campground one night in the RMNP and one night in a campground on the east side of Glacier NP. Other than that they’ve been in national forests and other free areas the entire time. They’ve basically paid for lots and lots of gas and food (which they’ve stored in the same RTIC cooler you have). They have spent every night in a rooftop tent (except when they were in grizzly country). On those nights they stayed in the back of the Pathfinder. It has been an awesome experience for them and they’ve been able to do several 5 gallon buckets full of bucket list things (hike to the top of Half Dome, hike Angels Landing, hike through Wire Pass and into the longest and deepest slot canyon in the US - Buckskin Gulch - just to name a few).
