Thank you so much! We loved visiting the city and feel we captured its essence well. Glasgow boasts fascinating history and countless activities to enjoy. We can't wait to return and explore more of its hidden gems.

I spent like 24 hours for the first time in Glasgow and I'd say the main thing is the nightlife, pubs and restaurants. Live music almost everywhere and loads of charming venues with great people, and some very unique cool joints too.
@MrSTravelQuest Жыл бұрын
We spoke to some locals on our first day and they said the clubs are where it’s at for younger couples. The graffiti murals is what I wished I seen more of in Glasgow, thought that was unique.
@Carloshache Жыл бұрын
@@MrSTravelQuest Alot of Glasgow pubs , live venues and even clubs are actually very mixed age-wise. You'll see both old and very young people. So it's not just for young couples.
@MrSTravelQuest Жыл бұрын
@@Carloshache any pubs and venue you recommend? When we revisit we want to visit more restaurants & pubs. I didn't get video on restaurants we visited ,but learned that most restaurants in Glasgow are independently owned. We ate at a unique Pancake place called Stack and Still. Which was decorated with a Christmas Themed.

@@MrSTravelQuest If you like rock music, The Solid Rock Cafe right near Central Station is a great place for a beer or five. Loud music. Macsorley's bar has live bands every day except Monday. King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, great live music. Named after a club in New York :)

The Subway is just a simple loop connecting the east and west of the city or north and south, crossing the river. The railway network is way larger than that. It is the third-oldest underground rail transit system in Europe after the London Underground and the Budapest Metro

The Metropole Theatre, 1962, has a plaque outside dedicated to Stan Laurel, who worked there as a boy when his father ran the theatre. Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - The art collection includes many outstanding European artworks, including works by the Old Masters (Vecellio's Madonna and Child with Saint Jerome and Saint Dorothy, Rembrandt van Rijn, Gerard de Lairesse, and Jozef Israëls), French Impressionists (such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Vincent van Gogh and Mary Cassatt), Dutch Renaissance, Scottish Colourists and exponents of the Glasgow School. The museum houses Christ of Saint John of the Cross by Salvador Dalí. The People's Palace and Winter Gardens in Glasgow, Scotland, is a museum and glasshouse situated in Glasgow Green, and was opened on 22 January 1898 by The 5th Earl of Rosebery.
