I got to live and work inside this park for just over a year, and I miss it dearly. In many national parks, the beauty is upfront and apparent. In Big Bend, you have to look for it. It takes work. Big Bend is so much more than first appearances. We use to say you need at least a week to get the full Big Bend experience. With the mountain, canyons, river, and open desert, there is so much to do, too much to do in just 48 hours. And you can’t forget visiting the ghost town of Terlingua! Gah! I’ve traveled a lot, but Big Bend will always be special to me. It’s my cathedral. Happy to see someone experiencing Big Bend, awesome vid!

Agreed you need way more time in a park that size! But still was happy to see what I got to see. Terlingua definitely has personality!

Big Bend is my favorite place I've been to so far on earth! Also each time I go I find a new favorite spot within the park, being on top of Emory peak when there's no wind is magical. It's also one of the most unforgiving environments so make sure you bring water if you're reading this.

I’m a new fan of your vlogs, subscribed, and like all the video I watched. Love all the places you went especially the French Polynesia. I am a Filipina, watch twice your video when you went to the Philippines so sorry for not so good experienced, but I assure you in the Island where I grow up people are friendly and big happy family!

Very nice video. I am visiting Big Bend in 2 weeks for Spring Break 2022. You had only 1 mile left to drive on that road. I have seen a picture of a Toyota Prius at the end of the road, just where the trail begins. They said they drove super slow. Like 5mph to 10mph on that 6 miles dirt road all the way to the parking lot where the trail begins. Being that you were alone, I am sure you could have made it. But you were also very smart and trusted your instinct to park your car where you did. Some cars have had flats driving on that road.

Big Bend is a fat meme, save yourself the time and effort and go somewhere else if you’re thinking of going. I drove 22 hours to visit this park, and it just wasn’t all that. Luckily I tied in a side trip to EP and the other Texas/New Mexico park to not make my entire trip a waste.

You must not have checked out much of it then because Big Bend is beautiful. I drive 10 hours there and 10 back once or twice a year every year to spend a few days to a week and I still haven’t seen it all. Now if you don’t have the time or want to put in the effort to explore the place then I don’t think it’s the parks fault, it’s yours.
