We spent 48 Hours in France's beautiful Lille and we were blown away with what we found. Only an hour and a half from London on the Eurostar, you can walk everywhere, the locals are oh-so friendly, the food is glorious and, with Lille being 15km from Belgium, the beer is OUTSTANDING. Lille is generally cheaper than Paris in every way but no less romantic, stunning and delicious. | AD

Don t be fooled by the nice editing, camera ect The vieux Lille is the only cute area The rest of lille is gloomy, dirty, filled with agressif teens from magrehb dealing drugs

Excellent! I visited Lille from London back in March this year and like you say, place is easier to get to than most places in the UK up north. Weather was similarly grey like your trip but it's so beautiful to look at. It's small and you can walk to most places easily and just get lost. I'd definitely recommend visiting Lille zoo which is excellent and great value for money. That street Tamper! is on has some amazing artisanal food places too. It's all great and definitely worth a one or two nighter Just a word of advice, it's not the most vegetarian friendly city. So if you look the like of a place and have a veggie in your party it will be difficult. The meaty dishes were bloody great though

I avoid Paris it is to noisy.In lille you have everything: great Shops, Clubs. LILLE IS GREAT! 1 h from Paris & Brüssel & aprox 2h from London!!!!! And son of Oscar Wilde is buried aprox 30 km from Lille. Therefore I visit Lille every Year. Greetings from Vienna

Cyril died on 09.05.1915 in France, shot by German Sniper, his burial place us in Richebourg, aprox 30Min from Lille, France. Vyvyan died 1967, had a Son Merlin born 1945 , he is living in Burgundy, France...& he has son Lucian, born 1979... Best regards from Vienna!

Wow. Found a hidden gem of a beer paradise - this place 'Lille' goes on my bucket list. I like three essential parts of TopJaw videos, which were amply present in this episode - 1. Watching you go high on all the liquids - with both Jesse and Will looking as if they are completely smashed. 2. The food coma that one can see on Jesse's face when he is having something delicious. 3. The "Petit Pouchin" sound very chti (="Northern") for "petit poussin" (little chick). We call cute children "mon petit poussin". Noow You have to know that the local Anthem is "le petit quinquin", a Dickensian song about a toddler crying his eyes out as starvation prevents him from taking a nap. His Mum sings him the Lullaby "dors min ptit pouchin min gros rogin" (standard French "dors mon petit poussin mon gros raisin), both terms of endearment. So a native lilloise would immediately link the cake to a lovely cuddleworthy toddler with a pinch of localism. :-)

Haha I often saw Mama's Shelter when I passed by, and always wondered what it was. It sure looks amazing in your video ! You really visited at the right time, Mama's Shelter and Grand Scène weren't there a few years ago. Just a little bit sad that you didn't get to try a famous pastry from Belgium and that we love here in the North, the merveilleux, particularly those made at Les Merveilleux de Fred. They're the best !

Hope see this episode in 2022 😉. Keep going 👍
