Fam this recipe and cooking instruction were 🔥🔥🔥! The only think I did different was add worschestershire rub to my seasoning mix for that smokey, savory, tangy flavor you normally get from a steak sauce. Alongside the garlic rosemary and thyme it gives you all the flavor you'll ever need & want! I cooked it to about 151 which ended up at about 156 resting (roast was 9.28 lbs, bone in, cooked at 475 for 20 min and then on 300 for another 4- 5 hours til 151). And it amazing yielded everything from medium to well done, making everyone happy! Easily the best rib roast I've ever prepared! Thanks bro!

Until I watched this, I had totally forgotten about studding a roast with garlic cloves. I also never thought to butter the roast but this is the second video I've seen doing this and you explain why...helps to brown it. Not many videos I've found for a 3lb rib roast and I love that you didn't call it prime rib like so many others do. It's not prime unless it is USDA PRIME labeled! For most of us, prime beef is hard to find in the regular supermarkets. So sad that you cooked the roast to medium...which is already overdone for me, but then you had to kill the slices in the skillet to make it gray. My mom likes gray beef. I always thought steak was overrated growing up because of that...and steak and eggs? Yuck! Then I grew up, moved out, did some business travel with men that were experienced who ordered their beef med-rare. Once I ordered a fillet mignon med-rare I was changed for life. I realized the steak I always thought was overrated, WAS overrated because my mom didn't know how to cook and the diners serving steak and eggs were ruining the steak making it gray! Overcooking a good piece of beef is a culinary crime, sorry you had to ruin good meat like that...breaks my heart.

@Sexyeyes7004 жыл бұрын
Only the quality/price. Most of these in the grocery store are Choice cuts, properly called “Rib Roasts”. Prime cuts are more expensive, and usually have more marble, but a good Butcher Shop or Fresh Market usually offers them, true Prime Ribs. I cook these every year at Christmas, and the last 2 years I’ve bought a Prime cut at a awesome shop in my town. Choice cuts with good marble are still very good!!
