I don't have a workshop so have to do all my work outside, though I do have some slightly damp cellar space for storage. It means I have to think in a more modular and portable way about projects and equipment. I have an arrangement where I categorise sandpaper as you do and keep each category inside its own A4 cardboard folder, which in turn all live in a waterproof A3 folder. Then I can pull out the category folder I need (eg full sheet wood, full sheet wet & dry, cut-offs, ROS discs etc). I'm sad enough that I organise each folder by order of grit. It all narrows down my 'rooting around' time. Workshop envy again... Cheers!

These are great ideas, organisation in the workshop ( or just where you store your tools) definitely saves time looking for stuff
