488 GT Modificata - Road America

I have no business being this quick at Road America - a track I'd never driven before this weekend - in a car I'd never driven before. The 488 GTM is friendly, communicative, forgiving... and really, REALLY fast. Enjoy a couple of hot laps on a 65F Sunday morning.
(note to reader - the onboard telemetry and timing & scoring both recorded a 2:03.98, but the ungenerous VBOX system recorded the 2:04.1 you see in the video. Insert racer excuses here... grumble, grumble...)

At SRO GTWCA, the 488 GT3 managed a best time of 2:08.048, with a pro in the car. That thing must have a ton more power and aero! That car is easily faster than the GTLM cars which can only manage about a 2:01 ish in dry qualy.

Yes. It's very similar to a GTLM car, with 700HP vs the ~550 for BOP'd variant, but without the ultra-sticky "confidential" tires they run in GTLM. Balzan ran a 2:01 in the same car, and estimates in qualifying setup it'd run into the 1:59s (and he would know). Super fast, super fun car.
