The Nomadic Ramblers - Enjoy your videos very much. Thank you. I like Stay Free much better than Stay safe. Many will give up their freedom for what they wrongly think is safety. Someone said if safety is a higher priority than liberty - you deserve neither and will end up losing both. Food for thought for such time as this we now live in.

I've camped that location a lot when I was younger. Yep the wind on that side of the peaks gets crazy specially in late spring. That red, is red caliche clay. It gets pretty nasty when it's wet.

We love it here. It's so quite. We like a little wind but, boy the last couple of days it has been super windy. It rained yesterday but nothing major, just enough to calm the red dust. 😁

I live in Flagstaff. Welcome to our humble city. Your off of Cosnino Rd. near Walnut Canyon. I would suggest for your next visit, off I-17 and the Pulman Airport exit where the Coconino Fairgrounds are is FR 532 and Woody Mtn road also has some really nice spots as well as A-1 Mtn. It has some very lovely spots that are in the Ponderosa Pines, not nearly as windy and less dust. If you prefer the east side of Flagstaff, FR 552 and Locket Meadow road are just are beautiful.

Hey there, We're about a mile down the road from y'all! we're on the same side across from the open field. Been trying to scout out another spot in Flag , but everywhere I've looked is closed to camping except for Cinder Hills. Don't care much for volcanic ash but maybe last night's storm has packed it down a bit. Thanks and Enjoy!
@NomadicRamblersAdventures4 жыл бұрын
We are actually going of the Cinders to check it out. The ash can't be any worse than the red sand that's at Walnut Canyon. ☺️

@@NomadicRamblersAdventures I haven't been in any of the other sites here. Down this way there's no Red Dirt anywhere. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of soft dirt blowing around but it's just your run of the mill brown dirt lol.

Yes we seen that he bought a house. 🙄 We do what we know. 😁 Thank goodness there's plenty of boondocking here in Arizona. Hopefully, when we head north we will have the same luck.

In January the Forest Disservice closed an additional 39 square miles around Flagstaff to all camping. You guys are right on the edge there on Cosnino Road, 11 miles from the city center. That place will be more crowded than Times Square this summer.

What is that thing he keeps twisting at 3:35? Water filter? What is the bladder? Why so many containers in the truck bed? What all are they for?
@NomadicRamblersAdventures4 жыл бұрын
That is a water filter. We have a 60 gallon water bladder in the back of the truck plus 4 6 gallon containers for water. We have 96 gallons totally. We like being able to fill up with water without having to move the rig. 😁

I just noticed that Airizona has a fire ban in all of the national forests in the state. CA is the same way. This is due to CV and they just don't want to have to use resources for anything that gets out of hands. So I think we should send all the "resources" home and let them collect unemployment like the rest of us. Matter of fact. How about we just all die of boredom and then the politicians won't have to worry about taking care of us any longer.
