This is the only place i ever been to since 1998 when i started to travel that havent changed. First time there was -99 and 2nd time around 2013 i think and it looked exactly the same which made me so happy.. 6 month traveling/year ive had plenty of time to go places and countries and Bukit Lawang really is untouched or not destroyed by us tourists.. Only thing was that we saw less Orangutangs and other animals the 2nd time but that could have been bad luck too and hopefully not that we are to many of us going there.. I smiled the whole video, remembering the nights in teh village they played guitarrs and the pillow drums and we all sang together.. They had some really nice mother earth green too :)

I recommend you to visit Tanjung Puting National Park in Central Kalimantan. usually people call it the Indonesian version of the Amazon and you can find orangutans there

13:40 ok so when I was there back in 1993 we were chased by an orangutan named Mina. Our guide was terrified of her. Luckily she was on the ground. He said if she was in the trees should would have stripped us of all our bags, searched us and eaten all our food and maybe been violent with us! I wonder if it the same orangutan
