Yes! I'm not blaming these poor girls at all - the monster/monsters that killed them has all the blame. But it's important to educate young people (boys too) about basic situational awareness, not letting yourself be moved to a secondary location, and what to do if you think something is wrong. Also, when I was in grade school I remember my mom letting me and my brother each choose a "code name" that she said her or my dad would give to anyone that they sent to pick us up (like from school), so if a random person or even neighbor told us "your parents told me to pick you up" we could ask for the code name. Looking back, I'm impressed how she was able to do it in a way that made us understand it was important without making us really scared.

@@missk8tiethat is such a good idea! I literally just had a talk with my 7 yr old about that. I told him I will never send anyone you don't know to get you. Now I'm going to talk to him again and let him choose a code name. ❤ Your Mom is very intelligent woman.

The problem with your point is that many women commit perjury to get an innocent man charged and convicted. My ex wife lied to the police for 13 years in two countries. I was arrested three times, convicted and fined twice and acquitted once. Because she was covered up her alcoholic addiction. But God spoke. She went to prison for six weeks. She punched me in the face 21 times, kicked me in the head twice etc. Her children hate her. Women can lie for eternity to hide the addiction. I don't touch a drop of alcohol for decades.

On ALL of these crime stories, people feel the same about lenient laws. We pretty much all think the same way about not letting predators out. So what's going wrong?? My theory is there are just so many operating under the radar in official positions that they don't take it seriously. It's so common, there's just SO MANY males out there hurting women, that the denial levels are skyhigh across the board, from law enforcement to judges to all throughout the CJS system. Sure, they might pretend to give a life sentence, but in reality, these males get out on so-called good behavior. They get out of life sentences simply to take another's life.

This is what a lot of people do not understand about forgiveness. It is not for the perp, its for the victims and their families. It frees you from the hate and guilt that will consume your life and the lives around you which can completely destroy lives sometimes more than the crime itself. You will never forget, but forgiveness will lift off some of the weight from your life.

Yes. I think people assume if you forgive someone, you're letting them off the hook. What forgiveness implies is that you will not seek personal vengance, but leave it in the hands of the Judge of all the earth. They aren't "getting away" with anything. Payday someday.

All the young ladies had similar characteristics: all were attractive, all were young, all were brunette. The woman who escaped by jumping from the car used amazing judgment. Hindsight is always 20/20, but if someone tries to abduct you from a public place and tells you to keep quiet, SCREAM and make a huge fuss. Likely the abductor will run rather than hurt you. If you let them take you to a private site, the odds are much worse of your surviving the encounter.

So I was literally just starting to cope a bit from losing my dad when I get a call to get to my mother’s house bc she had passed. I had never known grief as well as I do now. I always say that grief never goes away, you just learn to live with it and cope the best you can. I am also a momma of four kiddos, whom 2 are grown and have babies of their own now, making me a Grams. I cannot fathom the grief, sadness, confusion, and anger these parents must be feeling from losing their children!!! My babies will always be MY babies. Idc how old they get!! Life can be so hard sometimes!! I am sending positive energy and thoughts, and also prayers up for them!! God bless their hearts. May the victims rest in heavenly peace.
