Jason was soooo upset that Tiffany had violated the "sanctity of their marriage," but he didn't seem to have a problem with committing adultery with Tiffiney while she was still married to her previous husband. That hypocrisy, alone, made me suspect him from the outset.

@@GGiblet It is protocol across the entire US to do a GSR test on all witnesses and victims whenever a firearm is involved in a death. Sometimes police departments drop the ball and don't do it, but it is absolutely protocol to do it. It is a very simple and easy test- a quick swab of the hands that is then sent out for testing for GSR. Any department that fails to do it is sloppy and unprofessional, as this department certainly was.

@@carolsummers8734 no, they didn't just let him keep the van. They processed it just like a normal crime scene and then gave it back. I'm sure the promptness of the process was a professional courtesy. You act as if they just ignored the van as a potential crime scene and let him destroy evidence. It really doesn't take long to obtain swabs, prints, photos, video, etc. It is the further investigation of those items of evidence that take time. Law enforcement still investigated despite thinking it was a suicide initially. That is more than most departments do for obvious homicides at times.

To be honest though, he was prob in a rage when he shot her and probably wasn't thinking anything about getting away with it at the time. He just saw red due to the affair. I just feel so bad for the kids, her mother, and her as well. I do think its odd the children live with his parents though. Usually they would go with the mothers family, especially considering he killed her. Maybe her mom isn't in a position to take care of them or wasn't 6 years ago and when she found out he did it she didn't want to rip them out of their new home, who knows.

I think that the people judging her mother so harshly for believing that her son in law wouldn’t have killed her daughter are very privileged to have never gone through something where you have to accept that someone you trusted and loved- so fully, so unconditionally, as if they were your own child- could betray you and your family so deeply. They are very wrong in their assumptions of her character. It is clear that she is a very compassionate and heartbroken woman. It’s just crazy that people pretend to know what that would feel like, based on the collective 5 minutes of her talking during this episode. In the end, she has to face and accept a horrific reality. God forbid it took her a freakin minute to get there.

Girl bye, I'm a woman and can plainly see that this gall was hardly a victim if she was not even just a one, but a two time-cheater. Not saying that anyone has the right to take anyone's life, but excuse me if I ain't gonna sit here and cry over someone who stretched the rope in the absolutely reckless way that this person seems to have done. Again, did I hear it correctly that she cheated on him not once but twice?! When people push others to that kind of limit, take them for that wild of an emotional ride, no one can complain then when that rope gets stretched too thin and eventually just breaks. He wasn't exactly the smartest in killing her tho, and in doing so totally allowing for her to destroy his life. He was angry at how he had allowed for her to play him for a fool, that anger blinded him and is what made him pull that trigger. It could have all been avoided if he had simply just left after the first time she cheated. They didn't have children, what made him stay after the first time she cheated?! That's what he was angry at, himself, because he didn't have the self respect to just leave the first time she did it; and because he didn't leave then she did it again, played him for a fool again. That's what killed him. It's time people understand something for once and for all, people will do what they will do, they can try to throw whatever bs they can try to throw at us, it's the way that we respond to it that determines who the fool is.

@@shelliedavis did you read the second half of what I said? I was saying that it doesn’t necessarily apply to this case. It’s just that a lot of the family and friends in the video kept saying she didn’t seem suicidal. It brought to mind how often people say that in general. I’m not saying that SHE committed suicide though. Edit: I’m simply saying that I hope people keep that in mind in general when hearing things in this video. Just because someone has everything going for them, it doesn’t mean they’re okay on the inside.

@@melissajenkins9960 You're absolutely correct. Depression doesn't look any one way. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it isn't. I just can't stand when people IGNORE facts that point toward homicide, simply because the victim experienced depression. I agree with the shoutout, the doctors were amazing, but it's made clear in this episode that the jury only found him guilty because of his 9-11 call. That's pretty terrifying if you ask me, how stupid some juries can actually be. The doctors gave a mountain of evidence but that's not what convinced this jury. Their own interpretation of his 9-11 call did it for them, because clearly that mattered more than the actual forensic evidence from highly educated professionals.

@@dusanoljaca2585 Haha, "trust the science," right? There were highly educated professionals on both sides saying opposite things. "The actual forensic evidence" could go both ways, one pathologist for the defense saying that it was totally possible to have the skin evidence result from much closer range shots than what the other pathologist -- the black woman -- was claiming. She was arrogant as well, which immediately tells me her testimony was on shaky grounds.

I couldn’t believe that Tiffany’s mother Cheryl supported Jason. She kept saying ‘my son in law ‘ and not once did she refer to her daughter . She only attended court once during the trial and when she did , she was on the Stand saying how wonderful Jason was . She never attended court to hear the evidence against the man who possibly murdered her daughter . She fully supported him and his parents. Even when the verdict came through she was sitting behind Jason’s parents . It’s very odd that she never once questioned Jason’s guilt . If the verdict had been ‘ not guilty ‘ she would have readily accepted that her daughter committed suicide . And she even said she didn’t want to jeopardise his Appeal so wouldn’t say anything more to the 48 hour reporter . Good that she finally spoke out during his sentencing . I hope she contests Jason’s release in 14 yrs time, though I doubt she will . ( He has 15 yr minimum sentence) It was disgusting that Jason’s parents brought the children along for sentencing . It was a tactic to garner sympathy for Jason but the judge is used to that! . They should never have got custody of the children . They won’t keep the children’s mother’s memory alive in a good way . They’ll tell the children that their mother committed suicide and their father is innocent . The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

They did mistreat his right of "until proven guilty". His guilt is not proven, when there are conflicting accounts about the forensic evidence. And only because he is not very emotional, and made unclear statements in shock, during the first hour, they should have not spoken him guilty, because that is no proof of anything. I think he is the victim. He didn't do it. It shows the failure of putting uneducated people into juries. They can't go with their feelings, they have to be objective. The interview with the female juror proofs, they were not. He was convicted because he didn't react like in a TV show, not because of evidence. A sad day for Justitia.
