@YakPak I like how you spun this one up with challenges. You should do another vid where you guys have a budget to pick your items yourselves. The more you guys do the "roughing it" stuff...the easier it gets. Some tips for ya: When you lost the sleeping pad you could have just moved the tent to softer ground and piled grass and stuff under it to make a bush cushion. You could have made an anchored jug with Aprils bottle...than you could have tried using the fish you got as cut bait to catch a catfish or something. You guys did not ration food. Something that was important. You did not need to ration water because you can boil the river water. With the content, if you have deal breakers than label them right away and try not to set yourself up for failure unless that is the content you want to get. You have to be real with yourself and the audience. For example, in my case if I lost the sleeping pad I would have forfeited the challenge because I am in pain all the time. You need to do this a lot longer to work up to the tougher stuff. I think that you went a bit too much with the punishments because you guys are not weathered or accustomed to being in these situations. Adding a punishment on to the fishing is rough because if you catch nothing in a survival situation that usually means you do not eat. That would be the punishment...no food. Than April would have had more of a motive to keep going. I would have submitted too and took the L without the tent and pad. Its a little obvious you guys probably did not make the 48 hrs but it is because you are learning the craft as you go. Doing the more serious survival stuff with April is going to be tougher because she talks you out of stuff and you are too good of a guy to say no to a lady lol. It will be worse with the kids lol. On a more positive note, I still enjoyed the content as usual. I hope my feedback helps. I use to be a practicing survivalist and I myself am always learning new stuff...even though I am not doing it these days the skills could become handy in a worse case scenario. Anyway, before I type a novel...stay safe with the coming storm and have something of a day :)

A little camping secret bro. Start the fire with dry dead wood, small sticks and dry weed/straw. Then use that wet wood once its hot it will dry and also burn slower so your fire lasts longer. You can also use green wood after you have the fire hot to make it burn slower and longer.
