Kinda remotely like those cans of spare fasteners we have in our garages. Can't buy that stuff. Only years or decades of accumulating spare hardware and pieces from disassembled and scrapped items fill those cans. I've got tall empty coffee cans with hardware dating back to the 1970's or earlier. Bolts, nuts, washers, etc. odd sizes.

Richard I want to thank you for all your tips and tricks on the 4L60E in my 2K GMC 2WD! Now the trans shifts the way it should and I like it! Trans -go SK kit, removed all the plastic pistons, shortened the 1-2 accumulator stroke, blocked the 3-4 accumulator, I didn't block the TCC valve, but I used the valve and spring in the S-K kit and it only moves maybe a 1/16 and it feels like a shift.Basically I followed the instructions but used most of your tips. Man it shifts nice! So Thanks a bunch back at ya!😁 Hi Miss Teresa! I also used Corvette servo parts and matched the springs for the accumulator in the valve body and installed the fiber check balls! The Trans only has 65K on it but I over serviced it and the pan was spotless ,just a small amount of gray matter on the magnet and the separator plate looked like new👍👍👍

Richard, I enjoy your videos but how about doing a question and answer session where we can discuss issues either before or after having the transmission rebuilt. Several people have mentioned issues with the 3-2 downshift on the 48RE after overhaul. I think this would increase your viewing. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

great videos!! But so complicated! Is it possible you can show or explain how the bands activate the shell and what implication it has when the planetary gears are stopped or the only gear that is not locked(sationary) and the inner or outer gears are not locked (able to spin freely around the planetary gears, what is the output effect it has on the output shaft?

"Killed my smeller" ha!
@rtz5497 ай бұрын
Selective smell and the ability to turn off noticing the smell. I used to work around jet fuel. Has a unique smell. I would have to intentionally smell to actually smell it and to take notice of it. Years later and I would have to intentionally smell something to smell it on purpose. Otherwise my nose is "off" by default. Like how women smell everything on purpose by default. Someone walks by and she says "that guy smelled bad; did you smell it"? Nope... why would I want to and why would I. Not going to smell it just to confirm what she smelt. Don't care.
