I grew up in nearby Lampertheim...My late stepfather was Deputy Community Commander of Worms in the 1980s...

My father served at Taukkunen Barracks late 50s.

My uncle was stationed in the unit with Elvis Presley. He had some great pictures of them playing poker in the mess hall late at night with a chosen few....lol
